Solo Promathia Possible?

So.. It's been a while since I have done the fight on my main character and I am curious to know if anyone has tried to solo the fight by going as a healer and just healing Prishe throughout the fight and just bringing loads of MP drinks.

My main concern would be that I would pull hate from Prishe and get 1 shot.
I am thinking that if I don't let Promathia get claimed by me (IE: leave the name yellow) I should be able to heal without worry of aggro just like normal mobs but are Battlefields different?

You can do this trick with the Khimaira battle for Aht Uhrghan, just healing the Taru with no aggro problem, so I see no reason why it'd be any different with Promathia. Only problem is if you get hit by the boss and cure yourself, you may end up with hate. Not entirely sure though, it's been a while since I last tried.

A friend of mine tried this, said Prishe got him to 75% in his second form and he ran out of time.

Well when I was doing the CS to get flagged I wasn't on a healing job so I just watched Prishe solo him and she was able to knock him down to 45% in about 5 minutes on form 1.

Maybe I might recruit a BLM for some DoT or something :/
1 BLm easier than trying to organize a PT of 6.

It's my understanding that doing anything to Promathia will make the hate go to you, as an NPC doesn't accure enmity in the same manner as normal players.

If you're a WHM or RDM, your best bet is to just bring a good THF, NIN or MNK and duo it. It's a really easy BC regardless.

Difference with promathia BC is, if seh'lteus(sp?) dies you auto-lose, and you can't cure him AFAIK.

I soloed like 30-40% of it's life once just by cannonballing and kiting with w. legs on blu, after everyone else died. The NPCs were probably doing the lion's share of the damage but the hate was nearly always on me. So I would assume it's possible for to pull it off on some jobs solo, but probably not whm if that's what you're asking about.

You'll run out of time. We once experimented on letting Prishe go in, I kept her up and it took 13 mins or something stupid for her to deal with the first form.

The Promathia BCNM is one of the more fun fights in CoP, so I'd try and get a few people to come help with it. (Not being level capped makes it 90% less annoying.)

Its more so the fact that I was looking for ease of completion seeing as I have already been through the fight before.
The concept of solo'ing the BCNM on my own time seems a lot more appealing then waiting to form a group of people.

Actually lost becuase Selh'teus died. It was about 1.5 years ago since I did this but I'll try to remmeber how it went. I don't remember what my time was at, but I do remember that I was getting low on mp so would have lost soon anyways. Pulling hate wasn't much of a problem as I stuck with Cure V's as much as possible. In an ironic way this was a problem on the second form as promethia got meteor after meteor off. If someone ever wanted to make a serious attempt at doing this they would problaby need a bunch of meds, and need to kite the 2nd form and have the abilitiy to keep prishe alive (RDM probably would work well).

I'd love to try it again to see how I would do with all my new merits and gear but there is no way for me to get into the BC alone now.

There probably is... Just against TOS.
Just like how I can be Rank10 and with a few clicks I can set my info so that I can get flagged for Rank5 Missions again.
