Got Zhayolm with a Kazham Pineapple on my alt. Got Box'd unfortunately. Appraised into an Aquamarine...on darksday (I believe someone said "appraises into a xxx stone of that day, which is false). Fortunately not all was lost when I popped a Khroma Ore with spare pickaxes on my way out :D


Has anyone tried making 'amazing discoveries' with field/worker gear equipped ?

I think the jewel thing was more conjecture, most things seemed to fall into that category and people were trying to find if it was a pattern. Was it mined and appraised same day (Is aquamarine used for ice or water? cuz.. watersday is kind of a long time to darksday.. just to see if pattern still holds ).

Caponi and I popped Ancient Bomb yesterday, he's easier to kill than Ravin Raven lol.
Nethertheless... no drop. No pic either because, we thought people knew about it already. Our bad.

Ah yea, got Ravin Raven on a friends account, no drop.
I got an Iron Chain from chopping down a tree in Mire.

Also, some other little tid-bit, we did it with 4 people, and the locations he gave us were, Mire(me) > Mount(Caponi) > Mire(Truevil) > Mount(some random person that walked up to it) > Mire(Ouiouilepyro).
This was with everyone of us using Pineapple. Is this a trend, or just coincidence?

I just traded K. pineapples with my main char and my thief mule. I got Caedarva mire and then Mt. Z on my thief. Going to try and pop them now. I'm going to try and steal a crap load from them if they do pop.

Edit : Ravin Raven popped, trying to steal right now. 1st one failed ; ;
I tried 3 times to steal nothing. I gave up. Killed, no drop.

So far it has been killed many times, and noone has seen it drop yet. It's still unconfirmed however.

If you're in Nashmau you can just go out of the norht exit and you'll find Logging Points there.

According to ffxi-atlas, all the logging points in the mire are around Dvucca SP.

I got Lapis Lazuli appraised on lightningsday from there.

I got item from mount z. Does anyone know if I need to talk to totoroon again to 'finish' the quest? I'd hate to talk to him on sunday only to have him thank me and tell me to come back after conquest update (another full week). At the same time, I don't want to go to nashmau again if I don't have to......

just go back and talk to totoroon, but there is a confirmation of the completion of the quest (whether its optional or not I dont know yet, I'll check when I get home from work if my mule has the quest completed).

Pathetic that someone that's a "frequent editor" can mess up the meanings of "source" so badly.

They're just being spiteful now; my point on the sourcing was it's new information, and when things are new and not widely known, it is usually a good idea to include your source of information so people don't call you on it.

It's rather the type of thing that is supposed to prevent reporters from making up stories and such. Anyone could just write anything they want with information people don't know; so you need to provide sources so it can be cross checked until such a point it becomes common knowledge. I wouldn't need to source "Rainbows are six (seven) colors," but if I'm going to claim you actually can find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, I'd better source it. -.-

Meh, just leave it, at this point everyone knows where the info came from, and everyone will know where all their info will continue to come from. /shrug

Did this quest yesterday on 2 accounts. Main account : got ??? box and ended up getting a tourmaline. 2nd account got RR, killed it with Th4 and attempted to steal and mug. All Failed and no drop. Lol.
