Good and bad news:

Good news: Interview is almost done.
Bad news: Some questions can´t be answered ;-P.

Regarding the Q&A, there are some questions that we can't make any
comments such as Absolute Virtue and some of the questions have been
already solved by the version updates.

We got asked for additional questions, which is imo a good thing:

At the same time, if you have any new questions you would like to ask I
can include it and make a new set of questions, so please let me know.

Any post not going by the rules will be deleted

When does it become apparent to the Dev team that AV is broken? It has not been legit defeated since its release. What else is the dev team wanting from the community to do with this monster in hopes to ever see if defeated possibly before FFXIV, or simply, has it been reduced to a Mog Bonanza prize?(Flame on, idc)

When SE mentioned at the last fan fest, about introducing new summon(s), were they implying about the aura effects received this recent patch, or actual new avatars to summon?

I would just tell them to send you the answers for the remaining questions they can answer, and ask them if you can send along some additional questions later. It's already been absolutely ridiculous how long they've taken to respond, don't give them any excuse to delay it longer.

Question 1
The Linkshell Community Site compared to other Community Sites is used extremely little, FFXIAH for example is used a lot more for its better search function, added features such as being able to browse the AH and for some even the Achievement System. Is there any plans to improve the Linkshell Community Site? As if right now it doesn't even disply certain information (Captain Rank in Assualt is missing). If more was added to it and certain adjustments were made such as search by character and from their go into their Linkshells, would heavily increase interest . It could also be an interesting place to put a forum which some of SEs staff could take part in discussions, this would help the current communication issue between the playerbase and the dev team.

In an interview several months ago just after the annoucement of FFXIV it was stated that there was content planned up until June 2010 for FFXI. Has this changed? If so, what can the community look forward to? Full Expansion or More Scenarios? Should we also look forward to a Fan Fest in 2010?

1) they recently stated synergy would be in the end of November, and now for weeks there have been no updates on this. Why do they feel they have to keep things secret until the last minute, instead of letting the community know what is going on?

Can you please color-code text as it is being typed? For example, if the player is typing in linkshell chatmode, all of the text being typed should be green. This would help prevent accidentally sending a message to the wrong chatmode.

There are many different status effects that use the exact same icon. Players would like to see more varied status icons. Is this a possibility?

Question 1
Many players love the FoV Augmenting system, however many are hesitant to augment rare items due to the chance of getting a bad augment which would hurt the item functionally. (Int-X on Genie Weskit for example).

Are there any plans to add a "De-Augmenting" system? Even if it was limited to once per Conquest cycle I think players would accept it with open arms.

With the recent addition of "Ready" to Beastmaster, are there any plans to release new Pet Jugs to support the use of this new ability?

Any chance that the price of some "older" items purchased from vendors could be adjusted? For example no one will pay 8 million gil for Femina Subligars and Vir Subligars anymore. The cost of 21,000 gil for coloured chips from the goblin NPCs is also pretty steep.

While they already said they won't comment on AV, this is a question regarding buggy programming with AV and the way they patched it, not about AV itself, per say:

Question: Were *ALL* changes to Absolute Virtue intentional?
After Absolute Virtue was changed to a 2 hour fight, people used a method to defeat him that was undesirable, and was subsequently patched so that this method could not be used successfully. HOWEVER, ever since that patch, even when fighting Absolute Virtue normally, he gradually builds a damage resistance that seems inversely proportionate to his remaining HP (Example: At 100% HP, a shield bash from Aegis will do about 220 damage. At 70%, a shield bash from Aegis will only do about 150 damage, and at 50% it only does about 110 damage).

Is this intended behavior? How are you supposed to overcome this when at 10% HP, AV would become 90% resistant to all damage? This damage reduction trait has been present from the time that AV was changed to resist soul eater damage up until at least the update in Nov. 2009, but after this update nobody even wants to try to fight AV since it seems futile with this damage reduction trait in place. Has it been fixed? If not will it be fixed in the future?

In my opinion, more so than anything else, ever, this will stop AV from EVER being defeated, and this needs to be addressed, as it clearly SHOULD not be intended behavior (although I will not rule out the possibility that it IS intended).
