Khamsin, if you look at the Campaign map or even the list of new words in the auto translator in the details, you'll see that a lot of zones simply aren't accessible in the past...yet.

What's really interesting is how some areas in the past that don't exist in the present have the same notation that distinguishes a location from its present counterpart, Like that island between Derfland and Norvallen, Vunkerl Inlet.

Nah, I saw the /cmap, so I know what zones are in the past. But that doesn't mean there can't be Maws in present zones that have no visitable past counterpart. Or does it? Or is the prevailing theory that entering a Maw in the present will take you only to the past in that particular zone you found it in?

So once (if) Xarcabard is ever opened up, a Maw should pop up somewhere in the present. Now the question is, will they make us wait a year for the Xarcabard and Beaucedine Maws, and completion to the story?

I wouldn't hold my breath for Tavnazia, but I'd imagine Beaucedine and Xarcabard will get Maws later on.

Just go there in an adjacent zone and then zone to Sauromugue. Maybe pop into Batallia, run through jeuno or across the bridges connecting the surrounding areas, or pop in meriphataud and zone up to Sauromugue.
