I was debating on posting this in spam forum cause it's not something really serious, but then again not everyone reads the spam forum so I'm not sure if this will reach the people it's directed to.

Ok.. So... When I was younger I used to play a card game called Magic The Gathering. It's Been like... 4 or 5 years since I stopped playing and now I have a shitton of cards sitting around... Does anyone still play or own a collectable shop that would be able to hel me sell them or something? Move this to spam or something if GD isn't the place for it

Just put them up at a high price and lower it until you get people who are interested. That's usually how I sell stuff online.

i feel you man, i used to collect Legend-type creatures, i have a big ass stack sitting at home, some from newer sets like Scourge, got a couple way back from Mirage, got Sol'Kanar the Swamp King from Chronicles, tons more i cant think of...sliver queen i know i have, sliver overlord too...yeah...need to get rid of those, thanks for reminding me.

I had a ton of good cards from way back when, though even when I briefly played again during the Onslaught block the value of a ton of the cards due to either restrictions or bannings had plummeted from what I remember. Doesn't really matter much though, my old roommate took my trade with him to one of the prereleases and got it stolen along with his binders, so much of my good shit is gone.

i used to play magic a lot and i still have a lot of cards, and this is what i have been doing.

I look up how much my cards are worth and i sell them on ebay (+shipping and 'handling' obviously haha). If thats too much work sell em to a dealer and have him buy it (good luck finding an honest one if you don't know how much they are worth)

Go to a site that sells cards and get their buylist. Sort your cards and compare it to the buylist and keep track in a spreadsheet or something. Go to their sell lists and see how much you could get if you were them, see if its worth your time. Most will probably be bulk commons which are still worth something (depending on how many cards you have)

Whatever you do, have someone who knows the game go through them individually before selling them in bulk. Chances are you might have a few $20+ dollar cards, and selling in bulk might get you ripped off.

Or if you have the patience, go through CardKingdom or Ebay and look up any card with a Gold Edition Symbol, assuming your cards are post Urza's.

all the cards i have are from the 3rd edition, the original ones.

I have a lot of cards too, i looked them up a while back and i was amazed that the most expensive cards are the lands...like the tundra and savannah and crap like that.

definitely look them up first, i actually have about 300-400 worth of those cards just from the few types that are expensive + all the mass shitty ones that are like 25 cents lol.

I might actually check out ebay for mine, they are just sitting around collecting dust....and i do have free time at work.

I still have 4 Sealed, unopened boxes of Revised (3rd Edition) Booster Packs and 4 Sealed Unopened boxes of Revised Starters. If you figure out how much those are worth you can probably guess how good of an investment it was (hint: I bought them in 1994)

I made so much money off pokemon cards it wasnt even funny. Quite literally Id go to a store buy something that kids wanted, went to my elementary school get tons of cards offered for it, return to the store and sell all of those for a decent profit. If I remember right I once made like $300 in a week at one point.

Man, this is making me want to find and sell my YGO deck. Damn it's in one of the boxes int he basement since the fire. I seen it and should of grabbed it when they were moving it all down there.It's a local tournament winner. Never did anything sponsored since there really isn't any location near by. It was worth at the least $600 back in the day, wonder what it is now. >.>

Local kids here were crazy about YGO. They'd bet cards against me and try to beat me since I had a reputation. I'd take the cards I won and traded them in for store credit (Bastards never traded them for money D or sold them to other kids int he area. I'd fix up my deck with the spoils.
