Captured NPCs

I thought id post this in the newbie section because i feel a bit of a noob for asking BUT

After maintenance, do captured NPCs remain captured, or do they come back again??

I would like to think they come back, but that wouldn't make any sense

Wanting to know because of Walahra Turban NPC has been taken for 6+ days now and it is starting to annoy me

You could always free the turban guy yourself From what I gather, it isn't difficult at all, just boring

Captured NPCs aren't restored through maintenance. They stay captured until rescued. However, I don't know if captives spawn in the same cells on servup.

I see, i could go after the NPC myself but i arent too sure on which beastmen captured him in the 1st place...

Im not sure on *how* to release him either

1. look at bmap and figure out which areas have captives.

2. go to said area and roam about until you find all the cells (some posted on ffxi-atlas) and check them for your NPC.

3. once you find your NPC, farm a key off the Beastmen and use it on the cell.

Additional tip: Make sure Besieged isn't about to happen when you free the NPC
