Dual Display problems.

Weird problem. I run Windows XP SP2 with Nivida GFX Card. 19" LCD and 18" CRT. I newest Drivers and windows updates. Here it is...

I have my LCD as a primary display so that I can play FFXI on it. But also because the Res on it maxes at 1440 x 900, while the CRT maxes at a lot higher though I use 1600 x 1200. So I want the CRT to be secondary so I can do whatever the crap I want on it. Here's the dilemna, every time I restart my computer, my icons and task bar move back to the primary desktop even though it was on the secondary when I shut it off. That's problem number one...

Second problem is this... I save all my files to my desktop, but every time I save it to my desktop, it saves it to the whatever desktop is on my LCD monitor. I reformatted my computer yesterday, but before that, all my files would save to my secondary desktop/Crt. But now, no matter how I do it, it saves it o the desktop on the LCD. Even if I set the CRT to primary or secondary. Move the CRT to the Right or Left of the LCD. It just won't save to the CRT desktop unless I turn off the LCD.

So um... Any clue to wtf is going on?

Are you using the Nvidia control panel to configure this, or the windows display settings? I play with dual monitors a lot, and for whatever reason it seems completely random which settings the system actually "listens" to. I would check and make sure that your settings are the same in both locations. Also, when you move your taskbar to another screen, I find if you select "lock taskbar" it'll prevent it from moving around when you reboot your computer.
