Im a bit disappointed in the headliners this year, but most likely will be going Sat - Sun! (If I can find the justification to pay that much to go. Shits like $70ish per day.

I saw Roger Waters back in August. He played all the Pink Floyd hits(except DSoTM) then then second half was the entire album cover to cover. He finished with the wall which everyone went fucking nuts over.

This year has just about all my favorite "girl singer" bands. Rilo Kiley, Portishead, and Metric are all pretty awesome to see live.

i was ready to buy plane tickets months ago with the rumors of my bloody valentine but that never worked out i guess. i'm not disappointed in the lineup but i'd be much more excited w/them playing.

i'll be honest, the line up(short of the 'oh hay roger waters looks pretty cool') is kinda weak this year, considering previous years have had bloc party, interpol, the go! team, etc.

i would say that unless you completely HATE jack johnson's music, which is ok, everyone's entitled to their opinion, he puts on a great live show. also, the only band that really blew my mind on there that would make it worth a 70 dollar ticket is the swell season. for those who don't know, that's glen hansard from the frames and marketa irglova(the couple who acted in, wrote the music for, and performed the songs from the movie 'once'), and while i'd rather see the frames live, they are bloody brilliant.

and yeah, cold war kids are great, and so are flogging molly. otherwise there's just not a ton of bands on there that do it for me, although i'm told that sharon jones and the dap kings put on a hell of a show(the dap kings are marc ronson's go-to group for production, they've done most of the back up music for amy winehouse, lily allen, and several of his solo albums).

but yeah, for the most part i looked over the list of bands and thought 'oh hay, madness... i could hear 'one step beyond' and then go get a beer.'

and i know im going to get mauled for this, but death cab for cutie are fucking awful live. they used to tour with a friend of a friend's band named the dismemberment plan(who were amazing), and other than clever tour names like 'the death and dismemberment tour,' the dismemberment plan blew them off the stage every night. plus, yknow, less high school emo girls lol.

it's a moot point for me, im in dc, and the last decent festival we got here was the tibetan freedom concert and some poor fucker had to go get hit by lightning at that.

I'd like to go for The Streets, Bondo do Role and Architecture in Helsinki myself...Roger Waters would of course be cool to see...not worth the price tag for me, though =\
