Once (movie)

Did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Just got done watching Once on DVD, and it was great. It won the World Cinema Audience Award for a dramatic film at Sundance '07, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 98%. The music is phenomenal, and I'd strongly recommend it to just about anybody.

A little too artise for my tastes, but a good film. I love Documentary style filming. Some of the scenes (when she is walking alone on the sidewalk) could have been edited down a bit imo.

Also I heard he's like 38 and she's 20, and after the filming they started dating IRL.

The scene where they first start singing together in the piano show had me with tears streaming down my face (and I was on a date) - I cried at like 4 parts in this movie - it's beautiful.

Yesh! I have been recommending this film to any and all of my friends for the last month! It is amazing... my g/f and i decided it was very Dancer in the Dark-ish in a lot of ways... only Once is a movie you could actually watch again. (I loved Dancer in the Dark, but I have never been able to watch it again...)

This movie was so awesome. And, I'd be willing to bet you get a lot more out of watching it if you're a performing musician and/or a songwriter yourself. One of the best films I've seen in a long while.

I just watched it, I liked it but I wasn't blown away or anything. I'm not really sure what was so great about their recording session, I didn't find it particularly emotional, not more so than other parts of the movie atleast.
