GM Redistributing Mislotted Items

Perhaps I fail at search but I cannot find this thread for the life of me. A long time ago, perhaps more than a year, a player accidentally lotted both body drops from Nidhogg (think A Body and E Body, not sure) and won both although he meant only to lot one. They called a GM and he / she actually redistributed the abjuration to the correct player. Does anyone actually remember this thread and could link it for me? I do not remember the server, but I know the thread exists.

And before someone asks; no, this did not happen again to nearly the same magnitude, so no drama llama.

I also know that GM's won't necessarily do this. One Seiryu run the PLD who lotted martial abjuration: head started to d/c, and because his girlfriend was an idiot (who refused to pass) she ended up getting it instead of him. When he logged back in we called a GM and everyone from the LS asked the GM to transfer the item from her to him. Even though both parties were willing and it was a clear mistake, the GM refused to do so (so I'm guessing it depends on what GM you get).

Pretty sure they said that GM shouldn't have done it, and that they're only allowed to replace items dropped or NPC'd, not mis-lotted.

They don't replace items that were NPC'd. Or atleast the GM I got wouldn't.

I dropped my anneversary ring a while back after i used all ten charges... i didnt read the moogle txt... and it was in an attempt to get another one...

would i still be able to get it back from a gm?

i mean now... about a year later after i dropped it...

Pretty sure you can use your one time item recovery to get it back, however, it was said (at the Fanfest I believe) that they weren't actually going to do anything else with the Anniversary Ring and that you could safely toss it.

It needs to be within like 3 weeks to get an item back that you've dropped.

This would've been interesting to know back then. Last year I lotted Bard's Cannions along with another BRD, and had the winning lot. We wiped, and since I was designated to lot currency, my inventory overflowed and the AF went to the other brd. He called a GM to redistribute the AF but they wouldn't do it.

Oh well.....
