It seems by the threads, that we have a large group of experienced players and I was wondering how many gartr people out there are running around on twinks. I was also wondering if any of us have been teammates or competitors.

I have a feral Druid in the 29's Bracket of Vindication named Chee and two other nearly complete works in progress (I'll post them when they are done).
The World of Warcraft Armory (comes out to about 400 AP and 24% crit in cat form)

Chee is by no means 100%. A few pieces of his gear(weapon/shoulders/back) can be upgraded as well as an enchant or two. But I have a lot of fun running around on him none-the-less. I know he is a weaksauce spec/class for his bracket, but I'm not interested in topping the charts, instead I play to have fun with him. I'm probably of moving him to 39 Bracket once my War is geared and ready for some 29's fun (some key druid abilities get unlocked in the 30's and, as he is XP capped right now, it will give me a chance to level different crafts now that they give bonuses...i.e. skin/herb).

Please, I ask you all not to make this a twink bashing thread. I personally prefer pvp in the lower brackets, it is so much simpler. I dislike where PVP has gone with WotLK and feel its pretty broken so I have been enjoying the lower brackets more. I'm just curious about who else from our select WoW group takes part in twinking.

You can skirmish in your bracket, but all you get from it are bragging rights.

Always wanted to level a twink paladin but I got it to 15 and remembered I hated leveling and stopped. Might try and take it up once again.

Twinking always strikes me as a rather repetitive means of PvP. WSG over and over again, nobody has mounts in the lower brackets, most people die in 2-3 hits.

This. I've never gotten the point of playing a rogue before poisons or stuns (you know...what the entire class is known for) when the only thing you can do is sinister strike and stealth.

If twinks are lower levelled characters kitted out in gear way beyond what a usual character of that level would have, then you cant exactly twink arena can you.

You would think that with a level 80 char (and I assume that you do with your talk on another thread) you would have grasped some basic knowledge of the game.

But if you knew anything about twinking you would also know that a lot of twinks DO do arena skirmishes, thus "doing arena as a twink". Sure, it's not rated matches, but it is still a test of "skill" for the twinks.

Someone who makes use of level 60-70 enchants to make a toon at the highest level of a BG bracket (19 and 29 most commonly) which far outclasses anything but other twinks, making them steamroll most other players without difficulty.

That is indeed the only purpose of twinking. People who believe that it's most fun to have the absolute best stats possible for a limited level range, allowing them to be big fish in a small pond.

It's also why most PvP pre-70 is twinksville only.

Yeah, the 50-59 bracket was completely murdered for anything other than a DK. First match made me want to puke and made me question why didn't they create a separate DK-Only bracket just for 50-59.

I enjoy it for other reasons. One of the main ones I found after spending a decent amount of time in a bracket was the fun of playing against familiar faces. It has a very similar feel to vanilla wow server only BG's and to arena. There is an anonymous quality to BGing in cross server BG's that I hate, esp. at 80 where you rarely see the same faces.

I tend to ignore a lowbie or regular player, unless he attacks me, or is healing someone I am attacking. If I see good gear and glowing weapons, it's fair game. Not everyone plays this way though.
