Yes, it just leads back to 1. We did it once, to see what would happen.

Anecdotal evidence aside (and I share your pain on this one), does anyone know what effect going left vs. right actually has in Nyzul Isle?

Either choice will lead to:
- "good" floors with buff (like Regain, Concentration etc) or random stat + 30,
- "bad" floors with some magic restriction or random stat - 30,
- free floor,
- usual floor.

And it can't be same type x 2.

i'd always wondered about it myself, but never found any pattern in months of doing nyzul. i'd just written it off as a "perfect gem activated" and left it at that.

Basically if you're given the left/right option, then brace for the possibility of pathos (or buff).

I would agree left is best, if only because when you're in a rush it's easiest to hold right after you click the rune and pick whichever option is at the bottom, which will be "Travel to the next floor" or "Travel to the floor on the left" depending on whether you're given an option.

so if you got amazingly lucky and still had something like 5 or 6 minutes left after boss the disc holder could log before boss died, come back after you go to next floor, and then still be able to lot and conceivably get tokens, or am I missing when the disc gets wiped.

And yes I know that would have to be really really lucky on time.

The disc will get wiped as soon as the disc holder logs back on.
