Probably going to be disappointing in the sense that MGS is all about blurring the line between movies and vidya, so in a way it's a step backwards.

Too bad it isn't going to based on MGS3 ;___; big boss plz

MGS3 would make for one hell of a live-action movie if they toned down the superpowers of the bosses a bit, the overall narrative was really gripping. Whatever the story ends up being, I'm hopeful it'll be a decent movie, can't imagine it having a small budget.

Glad to see that Kojima gets to write the story, and JESUS CHRIST ITS BEING DIRECTED BY THE GREATEST SENSE OFFENDER OF ALL TIME, Kurt Wimmer, the director of Equilibrium.

Equilibrium was really good, and although Ultraviolet had a nice visual element to it, its story sucked ass. The good thing is that Kojima is writing it, I don't think anybody else can capture the essence of Metal Gear.

Why? Besides the fact that hes probably a little over exposed as Batman and apparently tied to the 4th Terminator movie as John Connor, hes a fantastic actor and could pull the job off really well.

Also, that "wish list" picture is basically dead on for how I'd imagine everyone, lol.

Color me someone that'd rather see relative unknowns playing the parts. Assuming the MGS4 launch goes well, it'd pretty much guarantee a blockbuster.
