Returned Accounts

Sup everyone, well i was wandeing if any1 yet has got there stolen account back, how long it took after sending the notay form to SE. Its been a few days on my part waiting for a response from them but so far nohing ><.

Not trying to ruin your day or anything, but SE new announcement about them helping return accounts to their previous status before they were hacked/compromised is silly.

I won't believe one word of what SE says about returning accounts or helping its customers until I actually see it. I have personally witnessed 2 of my LS friends have their accounts stolen during the time, and either has yet to get theirs back, SE just keeps you in a huge loop, they say they sent an e-mail out, they never do. They say they got the form returned and will return your account ASAP. Well, the 2 friends I refer to previously have been hacked since December of 2007, SE has yet to take any action other then locking the account and giving empty promises to the compromised account holders.

This is also why SE updated their user agreement, so many people were angered and pissed off with the fact that SE was doing absolutely nothing to help them, they threatened legal action against SE. Well, SE knowing they were being huge asses decided to update their agreement to prevent any sort of action against them.

Damn that sucks for your 2 buddies and every1 else thats been screwed over like us, but for some strange reason i get this feeling that i should just start all over again if i want to come back. But then again i dont want to start from scratch since i had alot of good stuff, missions completed and 5 jobs lvl 75 with all of them loaded with merits >< .

Well, try not to lose hope. I have no faith in them, but its still very possible you will get your account back. Lots here have been complaining its hit and miss with the account thing. Just keep trying, hope you get it back.

I personally know people who've had their accounts returned, obviously under the old return system, not the new one that was announced today. Sounds like they have a pretty big backlog of cases to process, so it's kinda silly to be so pessimistic about your chances of getting a restore. Someone has to be last, might be your friends, might be someone else, no way to know what order they're doing the restores in.

I have a friend that got his back recently. It took about ten days from the time he sent in the notary. They reveresed his server transfer and he got the account back. Lucky for him it had better gear then it was jacked with.

I was able to get my account back about 40 minutes after the POL center opened. It was hacked sometime overnight. I'm in the US and after verifying my info to be correct, they simply reset my password and I had my account back (on another server, stripped of all things tradable)

And this is why SE won't give people back their accounts. They know they will just start over again. (Hell, I'm guilty of it 4 times over after "quitting") Starting over = more playtime = more money for SE.

Sounds like the people getting their accounts back are the ones that provide notaries. Good for them. More people need to stick up for themselves in the face of big business.

2 of my ls buddy got there acc stolen recently (2 weeks ago), they had it back approx 12 hours after they notice they were stolen.

Rare/ex items were given back too, but no AH stuffs.

Dunno what you guys doing about your account but if you have the info and call SE you should get them back pretty quick.
