    Quick Q on .NET framework

    I have 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 installed currently. Can I uninstall/remove everything before 3.0, or are they not backwards compatible?

    Not backwards compatible between major versions. 1.1 will run 1.0 apps, 3.5 will run 3.0 apps. 3.0 will not run 2.0 or 1.1 apps, 2.0 will not run 1.1 apps.
