It is indeed broke from what I've heard. Try SA from the front for a little surprise.

Yeah merited with a THF friend for a little bit, SA landed in front of the mob but not behind it.

Could've been an interesting way to buff THF, allow it to SA from any side when /thf just gets it from behind. Kinda negates Hide SATA though.

I really don't think you'd find any Thief shedding tears about Hide losing some utility.

Maybe some day they'll add a merit that widens the arc and full merits means Sneak Attacks from anywhere.

i dont have any SS, we claimed cerb before Emergency maint. SAMs n BLUs were spamming sata WS n cannonballs.. fastest cerb kill ever lol and none of the hate!
