Starting on a new server, Need opinions.

Starting over on FFXI and I was wondering what are some of the good servers nowadays? I made a character on Odin but according to some people I talked to it is too highly populated and the economy is terrible. Another server I heard about was Asura but I havnt talked to anyone there.

So thoughts and opinions?

It's all subjective. I have transferred from Midgard to Alexander to Seraph, Alexander and Seraph both have been very nice in terms of lowbie jobs, etc. Endgame is where it gets hazy, but seeing as you are just starting over again, that's not a concern.

I've gotta agree no matter where you go theres going to be some kind of issue/problem with the server and maybe even their own benefits. Best advice I would say is close your eyes and let it random for you, hey then you at least aren't trying to choose yourself.

1: Play where you know people, seriously.
2: Failing that, if you are going to do endgame try and find a server who has a population close to your play times. nothing sucks worse than being on a server where no one does anything when your awake.
