HURL! on G4

So, I've been working on this pinnacle of television excellence for the past 3 months, and it premieres tonight.

If you haven't heard of it, well, you might recall "Hurl" to be nomenclature popularized by the SNL skits "Wayne's World" in the 90's for what others would call vomit or throw-up.

Therefore, the premise of this show is to have regular everyday people engage in competitive eating, and then generally ride carnival rides or other physical disorienting challenges until they, well, Hurl. If you make it through eating enough and not hurling, you win a whopping $1000.

It premieres tonight on G4 at 9EST/9PST, and replays 30 minutes later.

I have friends who have succeeded in an hour, but puked afterwards.

Also you get really fucking cold unless the milk is warm, but that's an equally unappealing choice.

In the show there are episodes where milk is the beverage but it accompanies the food.

We used to hold "One Hour Milk Shower" competitions in front of my old work (GameStop) after hours. No one -ever- made it, short the manager who got the entire gallon down, but puked it up almost immediately after as a result of laughing so hard.

I think those nights are why I'm so damn lactose intolerent now-- body screams "NO NOT DOING THAT AGAIN" ;/

This so seems ok, so I'll definitely give it a watch. Even though I think G4 is miles apart of the greatness I used to enjoy it for, I've slowly began getting back into it and some of the shows their showing now (Unbeatable Bazuke is one of my new favorites >_>).

This show sounds so stupid. I really hope its canceled quick, but considering they still play Cheaters and Cops, it will probably become part of their regularly scheduled programming.

Milk solo, least that's how I've heard it-- since your body really can't handle that much dairy in one go, it's pretty hard to win the challenge.

Rad girls is a show I had the luck of stumbling upon at 1am one morning. I think it's on Fuse TV, anyways, these 3 chicks were having people burp in their faces, trying to guess what they had for lunch, having competitions in the back of a pedo-van to see who could drink the most water and pee the most into a bucket, etc. The pee-pedo van episode ended up with the one girl getting carsick in the back, puking into her bucket. It turned into a who can fill their bucket with the most piss and puke. To top it off, one of the non-car sick girls decided to take a dump into her bucket.

I was pretty fascinated that people would record this so I kept watching.

Probably, and it pays better than any other job I've had out here by far (4 years working in television) so I hope it does. G4 is getting more national press out of this show than anything else they air by far. It's putting them "on the map" - millions upon millions of people in America get G4 and don't even know they have it - as retarded as it sounds, HURL! helps change that. I can't imagine they will be in a rush to cancel it, and it will probably smoke just about everything else they show in ratings and ad revenue.

I just wish this channel would go back to TechTV. I can't wait for the day they cancel X-Play and keep the name G4 when they have 0 shows about video games.

I loved G4 when it first swapped to G4; Attack of the Show when it was Sarah Lane and Kevin Perra; X-Play when it actually reviewed games; etc and so on.

Okay after watching it all, I agree that uncensored would have been best. The commentators are extremely obnoxious and it felt like they were going for the same spunk and energy that the people who do MXC have, but executed it terribly. I might give this show a couple more chances, but I hope it gets better than tonight.

While this show wasn't my thing, I hope it goes well for you; especially if it's paying you pretty well. Good luck :D

So I watched the show tonight. I wont lie, it made me crave mac'n'cheese. But yeah, why do they censor vomit? I remember back when TLC was cool(Junkyard wars, life in the ER, ect. Before all the home decorating and "A **** Story" shows.) Trama: Life in the ER had way more disturbing things other than vomit.

If Comedy Central can un-censor late night movies/comedy shows, why cant G4 do the same with vomit? I mean, the show is about vomiting and they censor it.

The disappointment is like staying up all night because a friend told you there was porn on Cinimax late at night.
