    Best Codec for vent?

    Best Codec for Vent. I mean the best of the best, crystal clear. Currently using GSM 6.10. Feel like I could be using something better.

    Both GSM and Speex have very high quality modes.

    GSM at 44Khz
    Speex at 32Khz using Quality mode of 10

    Technically they both sound good but the Speex codec will favor human voice frequences more then the GSM codec will. But with Speex you can have Mac users join in as well.

    I'm currently using a Speex w/ a TypeFrag server.
