    Black Xbox 360 Screen

Last night I turned on my 360 for the first time in over a month and it seemed like it wasn't projecting a picture in 780p (upscaled to 1080p), so i went to the system systems and messed around w/it again. I reclicked the screen resolution to it's current setting (so didn't really change anything), but it wouldn't let me mess w/ the HDMI option (option under screen resolution was greyed out).
I then went to restart my 360 and I now only get a black screen (no picture). So i can't really change any of the settings since I can't see shit.. but I could hear the menu sounds until I tried to mess w/ everything via a black screen and ended up making it so I can't hear anything now (lol). Is there a way to restore the System settings of the 360 and anybody experience something like this before? Thanks!

I need to get this fixed so I can play Fable 2

    Reset Xbox 360 video settings
While the Xbox 360 is starting up, hold Y and Right trigger. This will cause the system to reboot and reset the video settings

Not tried it myself since mine just RRoD'd last night.
Think i also read somewhere that if you press the little button on the front that makes the ring chase around while turning it on that's supposed to reset some settings.

Hope that works, or at least that site is useful.

The same thing happened to a buddy of mine from work. He called Xbox customer support to ask wtf was going on and to see if they could fix it. They told him it sounded like the video card inside was shot and to send it in and get it fixed for about 200 bucks. He decided to just say screw it and went and bought another... you can get a used one at a game store or a brand new one for 100 more, so he decided not to bother waiting the 2-3 weeks it would take Microsoft to fix it and return it.

Im sure that's not what you wanted to hear, but I hope this helps.

Good news is... I turned it on yesterday for the first time in a while because my friend took his xbox home and an xbox miracle happened right in my living room. My xbox elite which i bought for 500 came back from the dead and worked. Now i didnt even get to play it last night so I dont know how long it will work for but here to hoping.
