So I just tried to install POL/FFXI+Expansions using hte 2008 Pack on my new PC...well...

I installed them, then tried to open POL to login and I get this....

"Failed to replace the "Crogram Files/PlayOnline/SquereEnix/PlayOnlineViewer/polhook.dll."
Please restart PlayOnline Viewer."

What the FUCK does it mean? I'm getting pissed x.x

gonna guess NewPC = Vista? search on that there are things you have to adjust. Or more technical ppl will be along shortly with suggestions!

I DLed something off of the POL website for FF Vista users.. made it work for me... not sure if we have had the same problem though

That should fix things for ya.

Then put in your game DVD and stop it from installing POL, after that go to the DVD manually and install the game and all it's expansions 1 by 1.
After all that make sure you make the game run as admin(windower thing)
