Need help obtaining a Marble slab for crafting marble bed...

Ok, after 5 days of farming gigas in Korrokola tunnel with my Thf that was originally 1k exp into 44, and is now getting close to 47 (Note that the gigas give me 60 exp each, and theres only 4 of them on a 16 minute respawn...yeah) the shits getting old. I still have yet to find a single marble slab and I only have one I got lucky and found on the auction house, where one appears on the auction house a week if that.

Im starting to wonder if these even drop the marble slab, only two people who previously sold it and i asked said they got it from here, and all the websites say these drop it as well. Even called a GM out of fustration and they said that there was nothing wrong with the gigas's drop pools on their records. So I'm wondering BG... is there anything else I can do that can possibly make drop rate higher? Do i have to zone in and out once an hour to reset drops? Do i have to kill them faster or something? Do these even drop the marble? Please, all i want is my marble bed for my mog house! /cry

:.S:: as a sample of my THIIs brokenness, out of 46 mobs in the last 3 hours, I got 11 ice crystals, 3 maple shields, 6 socks, and 1 necklace. That means the highest drop rate is the crystals and even thats about 25% drop rate... is this normal for THII? Everyone ive heard who had THII or higher said that THII is extremely noticeable from THI or nothing, yet I haven't seen any higher drop rates whatsoever. Then again, my character is constantly getting enfeebled by non nuke spells like sleep or blind or stun out of a pack of people, even in dynamis regardless of my hate level. Generally about half or more of a monsters enfeebles are directed at me, with the rest usually on tank, regardless of mob. anyone have any suggestions as to why? >_<

Beleive me, I know its cursed. This is typical of me, and I'm always broke because of it. HELMing (took me two and a half weeks of mining in mount zalyolm and about 60 stacks of pickaxes to get a khroma ore...), BCNM (one serket ring and nothing else good out of all my seals, ENM(never gotten a good drop out of 100+ ENMs ive done. EVER) normal farming (Think one beehive chip per dozon bees in rolanberry fields with TH1...maybe), selling something on AH then having people undercut me right off the bat, not getting NM drops, except for rare/ex items >.>;... the list goes on and on.

Never been lucky in my 5 years of playing, and ive even had stuff glitch on me like a memory receptacle meleeing me, or monsters spawning and instantly aggroing and killing me instead of a delay, or other stuff like that. I pretty much live in constant fear for my characters life, sometimes even getting aggro from goblins while leveling lowbie jobs that came from an area i had just been from and was totally empty of goblins 10 seconds ago. Sometimes it makes me wanna level another character just to see if the luck on that one is better. :s

Anyways, any tips on how to maximize drop rates would help. I know scientists recently did a study and found unlucky people were less able to spot an opportunity than lucky ones, yet this isn't about opportunity but truely random luck. >_< Anyone know any spells or RL charms to bring good luck? lol

I just got two few days before Xmas when farming some socks and NPC'd both as they never sell on AH. It's all luck and nothing you can do to increase drop rates. It's all part of the timesinkedness of FFXI.

TH is based of your characters name. If I were you I would just start over with a different name.

People might be NPCing them when they drop, make sure the price is reasonably above NPC sale price, and if you need to, bump it up yourself to give them a reason to sell. Maybe post it as a wanted item on FFXIAH, and do a few shouts as well.
