Do gummys go bad?

I found this 2 year old cone of assorted gummy candy laying around, it's wrapped in a plastic cone, but not airtight.

Think it's still edible? Can gummy go bad? I am calling on you, the resident doctors/lawyers/engineers/scientists (and now FDA) of BG, to help me out.

I've no idea if they're bad or not but being that old I don't think you could call them gummy anymore. Willing to bet they're harder than diamonds.

Just wanted to be sure I wouldn't get food poisoning! I was going to give them to somoene, too, since I actually don't really care for gummys (or I'd have eaten them within the last 2 years). But it'd suck if I did, and they died. Unless I was in their will.

Put them in a pan, add a bit of corn syrup, put pan on a burner on Medium, heat until melted, pour a little bit at a time onto a baking sheet, put in fridge until they take back their gummy shape.
