BG Bowl Pick Em

Now that the regular season is over, and the only game that really matters is Florida - Oklahoma, we've got 34 games to pick. Like in the College Pick Em, you rank them by confidence, so that you can wager more points on the games you're more confident in. However, instead of ranking 10 games a week, you're ranking all 34 post-season bowl games. Rank the games from 34 (most confidence) down to 1 (least confidence), and get the corresponding points for all the games you get correct. Get the most points, you win. Simple as that.

There is no cost to enter, and no real prize if you win, other than bragging rights and 2 extra inches on your BG Sports E-Peen. If you take first place of all 100,000 entries across ESPN.com, you'll win a real prize.

LOCK TIME IS the first bowl game, which is December 20, at 11 am for the Congressional Bowl. It won't let you enter late, since this is a Confidence-based game.

I will bump this periodically between now and then, especially within a day or two of the game, but there's nothing stopping you from entering and setting up your picks and never having to check in again, unlike the weekly contests. It's kind of nice.

I'm using the opening lines, so they have no public influence. The confidence is sorted by the spread difference. Largest spreads have the largest confidence. In the case of the pick 'ems, I went with the current lines and picked the favorite and sorted by spreads. Think of it as a chalk bracket to compare yourselves against. I didn't see Plow's entry, I'll be disappointed if he doesn't join and crush this bracket.

Hey, I actually did that too, Tyche. Created a second entry and went all "chalk" of sorts. Can't go best record/at home seeing as well.. "neutral" fields, even though a lot of teams do have home games.

7-0 big 12, but NC is my 1 point game. There's a lot of big 12 at the top tho.

SEC I have Bama and Georgia winning on low confidence, decided at the end to change to Iowa winning on low confidence, and I think I picked rest of SEC to lose.

Only Pac-10 wins I have are Cal and USC at fairly high confidence.

Lots of Big 10 losses too.

A friend of mine is running a $10 entry confidence bowl pick em, but using the spreads. So we've got to rank the spreads #1-34, and it's killing me trying to figure it out... I'm half tempted just to throw darts.
