I got this problem with XP SP3 too, came back to SP2 >.>
Does that occur only on close?
Oh Tricen, I see WoW.![]()
I had this problem for 2 years on XP Pro SP2
Didn't bother me, never figured out what it was.
Any more information? Only happens when you close out of FFXI? Happens when you start up? Doing anything specific?
For me, only when I close FFXI.
And even if I turn on the PC and do nothing else but FFXI, after I close it, it happens. It got to a point where I stopped caring, nothing bad happened so far.
At times it didn't happen, but happens when I dual box. So it's kinda mixed.
I think it's because recently, people have been getting errors where when they exit FFXI the plugins still "hold on" in a sense and cause a crash when you end FFXI.
The crash should never result in any damage, lost data, etc.
If you want to fix it I suggest you try and unload all plugins before you /shutdown or /logout.
I'll find the code for it and edit it in...

On my new laptop I don't get this error using the exact same version. It is very odd.
I get this on IE6 too (I keep IE6 around for testing purposes). Same error type but different code/message.
I've had that error for a while now. I think it might depend on which plugins you're using. Doesn't bother me a whole lot anymore, I'm just so used to it.
Yeah, only when I close FFXI.
Also, I tried the 10 day WoW trial. Was ok, not too impressed. Way to easy
For anyone who gets the error on close.
It does not harm FFXI in anyway, but if it still bothers you, just do what I mentioned a few posts up.
I think if you really care you can set up an alias for the terminate command to unload all plugins wait a second then close the game for you. I forget now, but you might want to look into it if it interests you.
Could probably go go Windower [Windower.net] and look up alias.
i have this error like anyone but
i also have this error pop when i choose my char to log in, so i simply hide the window to continu to play
But it'S a known issue so i simply don't worry about it atm
guessing bad ram.
It's always bad ram.
lolno it'S not ram the error that pop when i choose my char says
POL has occured an error and must close. If i click OK FFXI close
So i just hide the problem in the corner
Nothing to do with ram lol
