[Diabolos] Salvage 7PM EST LFM

This isn't largely a cross-server interest post because I doubt anyone would want to server swap just for our static, but I believe it's relevant in the purview of this forum , if a moderator feels differently I apologize.

I am posting this on behalf of my Salvage static.

We currently have five core members in this current iteration of our static. We go three times a week, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. We're not one of those super-perfect-awesome Salvage groups that can run through every NM + Boss in any zone with 6 people, although how much of that is due in part to not having 6 people... it's hard for me to say. Our leader is an avid Salvage goer and patient leader and has been running this group in some way shape or form nearly since Salvage came out. It would be nice to have 7-8 permanent members rather than 5-6 so that we can still do anything we want if someone can't come. We have awesome luck with 35 drops and poor luck with finding/holding members to complete them with 25 farming.

We have gone through a lot of members who don't understand the meaning of commitment. I don't think these things which I expect from members are too much to ask for despite the problems we've had with people not being able to handle them. I am not the leader and these are not official requirements but I'll pretty much eat you alive if you can't handle these things. <_<

*Be on time more often than not and tell someone if you won't be showing at all.

*Be able to attend most runs, preferably all.

*Have AP on time for the run and if you're PSC or something don't expect help with Assault unless you are actively trying to get your rank up.

*Know what cells to lot in what zone after being there a few times.

*Know how to play your job and/or don't blame it on being new to Salvage if we have to tell you how; when you're a WHM only and don't know a simple thing like stay out of AoE range nor can you manage to stay back after being given many chances and repeatedly being reminded the only thing I have to say to you is BYE.



Three of our members play in EU time, one is in a late night PST EG shell and the other two are not in in an EG shell so we're pretty out of touch with people who can go at our time - a compromise between the EU and NA members which just seems to be a really horrible time for everyone else in existence. Everyone we know (and even some we don't) has EG during this time, or a Salvage/Nyzul static already, doesn't want to go, sleeps, is at work, or already joined and left or was kicked/not invited for continuous failure at the above list of things.

I won't say I'm speaking 100% for my group but I will say for myself what I want out of Salvage is to be able to do it with people that don't make me feel like any time spent helping them is wasted time. Our core members are good people, we all have bad days sometimes and we might fight on
occasion but we forgive each other and move on.

The only specific requirement is obviously going to be job based. We're pretty flexible as a team (though our leader would prefer another BB MNK for ease of tanking bosses) so there's probably a number of different jobs we could work into our set up. Just use common sense, is/are your job/s good for low-man events with strict time requirements? If the answer is yes then we will see what we can do. If your answer is PUPONRY, gtfo.

If it doesn't work out it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with us or you, everyone has their preferred way to do things and sometimes it just doesn't click someone else's way. Just inquiring about this or that will do no harm so don't be shy.
We are willing to give most people a chance if they are willing to commit, if that means teaching someone who has never done Salvage before so be it. We can call cells for you by name until you learn what each one is and other things of the sort. This does not mean however that you can roll up in your first run and not even know how cells work, or what the cage of Fireflies does. You can and should read up on the basic Salvage mechanics if you haven't gone before.
