Saotome Haidate question

Does anybody have experience using the Saotome Haidate in level sync? I was wearing these sync'd at lvl 45 and the counter augmentation was going off like I was soloing the mobs at 75 unsync'd. It was an eyeball on my part, which makes me hesitate to mention it or start a thread... but it was consistently happening 2 or 3 times in a row whenever I got hate over several hours.

At 45, you wouldn't get any benefit out of the enhances "Third Eye" effect. You just saw some extreme occurances of Seigan and Third Eye working together.

Isn't the point of an oh-shit macro for when 3rd eye falls off early/etc?

SAM doesn't suffer from "you have to leave it on for it to work" syndrome or else you would be standing around in silly head gear til TP reached 120.

saved me more as once my life i guess. one thing i remember very good is as i participated 6 KB attacks in a row with third-eye.
since that they are a steady part of my seigan/third-eye macro.

Just wanted to point out that Saotome Haidate are a "you have to leave it on" in terms of the Counter+%.

This gets said a lot, but it's likely the OP had a clustering illusion occur. I tried my Haidate in levelcap just now (two hours at level 35, was main tank, fulltimed Seigan, bats and beetles in Garlaige) and didn't see any counters at all.

If you have no other alternatives... I suppose that these would be a decent choice for an Oshi-Macro. The proc rate is truly incredible on these. Saved my life in many a Nyzul Isle when a Dahak or something gets low on HP and body slam has been killing everyone.

Judd points out the only time when Saotome Haidate are really useful. All the item does is increase the chance Third Eye will produce additional damage output.

If the "Oshi-Macro" is for when Third Eye is down, though, it's not useful at all. Or if your usual leg slot would deal more damage (somehow) than a 15-25% Counter rate (reports vary).

My understanding of this piece of gear is it increases the Counter% of Third Eye, which used to be zero without the Haidate but once Seigan was added is slightly greater than zero when Seigan is up.

So far as I have experienced, without Seigan, the use of Saotome Haidate does not allow Third Eye to anticipate or counter an attack without being consumed. It does allow Third Eye to counter an attack while being consumed.

If Serb is correct, then the Haidate are great for an emergency macro when Third Eye is already up or ready to use because he implies the Haidate somehow prevent Third Eye from being consumed. But they don't.

Please only use the Haidate when you want to deal more counter attacks. That's it.

Yea I notice a slight increase to my counters while wearing them. Though most the times I forget to put them on when I do Third Eye :/ Should really make a macro heh
