    GuitarPort XT

    Anybody have one of these? Thoughts? Any similar item that beats it out?

    I've had a Flextone II Plus and the satellite forever but don't really have the space to keep it right next to my computer. I compose a bit with PowerTab and hate not having my amp nearby, but I've taken a bit of a break from playing and haven't kept up on shit...

    But I've never cared much for effects aside from goofing around and the occasional search for a really specific sound.

    I have one. Used it for a few weeks and haven't since. It's been quite a long time, years. I have a real tube amp which is my problem, if I play, I play on that.

    All the writing I've done in the past year has been on classical anyway, and since picking up piano I just haven't played much, so my opinion might not be a good one.

    Decent device, program is kinda bleh, toy if anything and would not have bought it if I knew better. This is coming from a person with A LOT of toys.
