Reformatting Computer D;

If I Reformat my computer, will I have to install the expansion packs/WoTG again? I lost all my key-codes and CD drive that i bought for it. ;o

You can download a torrent of all of the expansions, and you do not need to re-register them with your CD Keys. If you lost your CD drive entirely (like misplaced the physical drive) an option is to use Power ISO or some virtual CD/DVD software and mount the iso after you download it to avoid using a optical drive at all.

Yes reinstalling means Erasing everything to install the OS aka have to reinstall everything

There is a way that can maybe work ( cannot confirm it works for FFXI tho)

step 1) Export and backup all registry key for FFXI

step 2) copy all the Square Enix Folder in program files and send it to like a DVD a external HDD

and when your computer is reinstall, just put back the Square enix folder in program files and reimport the registry key back in the regedit

Maybe someone can confirm me that it works or dont work

It does work, but you also need to register your .dll files which I pulled a walkthrough from windower website on how to do it. I'd post the file myself but I'd be accused of it having a virus.

I've never actually installed FFXI again after learning how to do this because it takes an all of 10 minutes to do.

How do you misplace a CD drive, if you don't mind me asking? Have you checked in your drive bays?
