I don't actually intend to cause drama, but at the same time, this was a bit on the fucked up side and you all need some warning.

I'm sure you've all shared your account with a friend from time to time, particularly one you trust. General FYI, Narayan is not trust worthy.

Kazette had an alt by the name of Burne. The real Burne quit FFXI to lead a normal life (had to throw at least some satire in there. =P) and left the account to Kazette. Narayan was at one point a trusted friend.

Now, Burne was deactivated since...well...$$$. She went to activate today only to find out that Nar reactivated the account, changed CC and password, and since Burne had Kazette's Kirin Osode amongst other things, I'm sure Narayan's gear got quite the upgrade.

So if you see Narayan sporting a sexy Kirin Osode or being followed by Burne, know the story behind it and for Christ's sake, if he knows your account info CHANGE IT.

In hindsight to this (and the extra info I got) this might've been double the foul play.

Other than Kaz, the only other person to have Burne's info was the real Burne himself. He suddenly took Kaz off of his myspace and vanished off of AIM.

It's assumed Burne gave Nar the password behind her back (even though she was the one keeping the account active for well over a year) and she just lost all the gear she had stored on him (specifically, Osode, which was hers.)

Trust is a wonderful thing when you don't screw it over.



Figured I'd post this here also, in case he decides to server transfer after most cowards do when they screw a trusted friend over in this game. If there's one thing I don't want, is him getting away with it without batting an eye.

Honestly, I agree that giving account info is just asking for it. =\ Not much can be done on that department. What sucks is that sometimes you let your guard down when you think you've made a real friend.

Kaz and Burne have been friends for ages. He used to talk to her on AIM about stupid stuff like Sex and the City (lawl). They would still talk after he quit. Only to suddenly stop talking to her without giving her a reason (which she thought he was just busy with RL stuff) and lose out on all the gear she had muled to that character.

That's the part that bugs me the most. People never cease to amaze me.

On a good note, Nar found the posts I made and is now communicating with Kaz in-game to give her back her stuff.

Waiting on Kaz to give me the word that her stuff is back in her inventory. =)

Confirmed. She got her stuff back. Not the account but it wasn't hers in the first place so it doesn't matter. She's happy either way. =)
