Had good attendance, was a above average player. Talked in LS a lot, while pretty quiet on vent. Was a good member. Didn't really piss anyone off or anything like that.

After being denied into Eden, he had nothing better to do than to hack the forums of the linkshell and make a big mess in the database.

Is that enough or should I go on?

His original character was hacked when he clicked one of those RMT site advertisements, "remade" Limlight. He's a self admitted gilbuyer (have SS), hacked our forums and deleted admin stuff when he got denied from reapplying (his original character was in the LS for a while) etc. etc.

edit 2: Guess I'll add more, a sack in a previous LS he was in, Noted, told me he got kicked from that LS for fake afking on his main character, while doing stuff on a 2boxed character. That's second hand info so I don't know how valid it is, but wouldn't surprise me.

Well I do not really have any proof of the broken database (he deleted an admin and all his posts, was really hard to recover) but I still have the screenshots of the phpbb log if you insist.

Logged in as me (forum owner), not really sure how he did that, but it doesn't really matter. It's not my IP address, my own access always comes from the other two addresses shown.

And then I just checked for the IP in the database and found this account to be created on the exact same IP address:

I'll leave it up to you if you think this is enough proof or not.

Also, it happened right after denying him.

Consider though: Make a backup of your forums when you deny him. I just backed up mine because of this BG post. Never know.

Hard to keep netrual about this but 1st off he didn't hack anything. He was handed access by the 1st Admin of Eden forums after there was a falling out of sorts.

Limlight knew how much Scorsese had talked crap about him behind his back so the previous admin handed him the "keys" so to speak so he took a shot at Scorsese's account.

As far as drama goes with Limlight, he was a member of 7thWindowNQ on Fairy for a long time and as many people on Fairy know, you only have to lightly piss off anyone in charge and they'll smash your pearl. He ended up with a lot of gear for them by showing up to everything and having a near perfect attendance even after he'd gotten almost everything he was after he still attended so I guess take that into consideration.

Drama sadly follows him because he's got the same problem I do sometimes with a low tolerance for people talking shit to him. He's mellowed out a ton from when I 1st knew him but as far as skilled players goes, he's a 100% solid guy.

I'd suggest giving him a try-out at least to see how he fits with your group.

In a sense you could call it hacking but it generally was that the previous Admin was pissed he was taken down in access because of poor forum management and plus he was in a shell with a few Ex-Eden members who fucked over the shell when they left so I guess you could more or less say that the previous Admin had a bone to pick with some people in Eden also.

Also, Scor never talked about Dart, no one did... he's not important enough for people to care, so I don't know where you got that from.

Edit: For those not getting the joke, I used to think Stun was related to Dark Magic since when I 1st started getting Skillups on DRK by using Stun in Sky & of course thought at the time it was a Dark Magic related spell in relation to the Staff. I of course know better now but yeah even after almost a year later I find it funny how confused I was.

Defending him would be saying that the people in Eden deserved it which they didn't. If I'd known he was going to do this, I would have talked him out of it ryu because it really made him look like a total asshole.

As much crap as some people in Eden said about him behind his back he should have just let it go because you and I both know that people will always talk shit about someone else in whatever opposing linkshell/group/sex party/etc that someone is in compared to theirs.

So yeah in this case yeah it was a fucked up thing to do which I've not once condoned but it wasn't unprovoked either.

It might've been best to just leave it at that. You're trying to defend a friend (which is understandable and admirable) but as noted earlier, you're potentially hurting his case more than helping it.

I don't know Limlight/Dartalion as well as Snk or some of the others here. He was a decent person in the LS I was in before TG (as in helpful, showed up to things, assisted people willingly, and also had the sort of crass humor that makes him fit in with most shells).

I personally didn't have a problem with him in our interactions (aside from some of his jokes being a little too akin of our resident Yoichi user). However, I know that a very long time ago he ran with TG's Dynamis (almost 3-4 years ago?). He was on the verge of being kicked because many of the leaders (and members) observed that he had a tendency to only show up to runs which he stood to gain from.

I note "on the verge" because he either went on break or just left before anyone actually could.

This was before I ran with TG's Dynamis group much (it was when I first joined) but that information comes straight from the shell's leader at the time (Ryko).

Yeah I think I'm going to take your advice and bow out of this. It's hard staying on the edge of the fence so to speak when I've got friends on both sides of the yard.

I may not have known the guy from "way back when" like others or done a lot of endgame with him, but he's always been cool in my book. He was one of the first people I met (via Snk) when I first came to Fairy last January and didn't even have a job at 50, let alone 75. As the weeks and months passed, he helped me in a number of ways from input on equipment and tactics for different jobs to helping me learn my way around sky. It's been nice hanging out with you the past year, and good luck to you. Perhaps our paths will cross again someday.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone. We've decided that the drama detailed in earlier posts sounded like social stuff that has nothing to do with us, and accepted based on people (we both know and don't know) vouching for player skill (plus not hearing that he MPK'd someone at JoL or QM'd a Ridill or ninja lotted something or some shit).

If you have any further warnings about this player, please PM me, but otherwise I think it's safe for admins to lock this thread to avoid any further possible pointless arguing.
