Tried to post in advance but only 27 post so lol.

Just wondering if anyone else by chance got banned within the last couple days? I haven't logged in for a few weeks and last night decided to log in and got a LM-17 on both my accounts. Called SE this morning and they said I have been banned for RMT activity although I have NEVER did anything. They also mentioned there is only a small chance that it would be overturned even though there is no evidence at all.

5+ years, 2 completed relics, 2 100 crafts and over 200 million in gear/gil on my account all gone and basically the woman told me there is nothing I can do pretty much.

The whole auto jail shit is such fail, seen people get snatched into jail for "Speed/warp hacking" because they were lagging and would stop then speed up. (Any ffxi player knows this is due to lag.) It's a POS to put it frankly.

I've known a few people to get hit by it, myself included. I was lagging otw the khim, bam auto jailer. GM told me when I got released "You wouldn't have been jailed unless we were absolutely sure." It's really utter crap.

Overclocking in a certain way can actually have the same effect as flee hacking, albeit temporarily. Ruined my shitty old PC that way, but didn't get banned for it (perhaps because I called a GM afterwards and told them my computer was overclocking itself and causing me to move at drastically increased speeds).

completing a relic or holding lots of gold automatically flags you as RMT. I monopolized NMs and was holding over 65mil. bant. the gil was goin to my relic

Bestovian isn't RMT, dude crafted like a madman for years, played endgame on Asura in several well respected shells and so on. I think I may even have had signed gear made by him at some point.

What did you tell the GM exactly that made you get this response?

I already said - I told him my PC was overclocking itself, which was causing my character to move around extremely quickly. I requested that this be taken into consideration should my account be flagged for suspension. My friend, however, continued doing this for a long time and never called a GM in this manner to my knowledge, and he's still safe.
