    Advanced Wars Online (web based)

    http://awbw.amarriner.com/

Currently trying this out with a friend of mine. So far, it is working pretty well and is fairly fun even though lack of animated motions but stays true to it's central core.

Game follows up to Dual Strike (not sure about Days of Ruin haven't played it yet).

Can create your own maps and play custom ones with others online through their server or invite people you know to play. Theres still more for me to figure out but enjoying it so far. Even went as far as to download the OST of Dual Strike while playing this XD

Further info can be found on the left side of the screen under Info (obviously XD).

Edit: Mistake with title, meant to say "Advance" instead of "Advanced"

    Edit 2:

Ok, I'll help give instructions since the site can be a little confusing.

    1) Register (don't need to confirm anything; no spam either but you can use a second e-mail account if you want)

    2) Go to "User Info" and click "Turn Notification Email" off since you will get e-mails when your opponent moves (playing strangers can take a while so it will let you know when they moved)

    3) To make a game, click "Create Game." If you know Advance Wars then this part shouldn't be too difficult to understand. The Maps are custom made and you can see a small preview on the bottom right.
*If you don't know what COs do that, click Guides and click the CO to know what they do.

    4) Assuming you are playing with a friend and want to keep it private, make sure the room is passworded. Have your friend click "Waiting (Private)" and have him click the room with the name made for it (ABC ordered)

    5) Room maker clicks "Start Game"

    6) When you play, make sure you know when the other player is done (if you don't use the Notification E-mail thing) and click the room name in green at the top to refresh the page and see it.

    7) Rest is somewhat explanatory. To use CO power click the Star that appears next to your name. Will post more if people have problems still.

ok I pretty much love you for posting this. Been playing Advance Wars for years but nobody else I knew ever had the game, so I had nobody to play against. This owns.

Haha I felt the same way when I found this. Was thinking "man how can there not be a PC version of this game? I'd buy it the minute it came out..." and just for kicks I searched on google and found this XD

I'll post screenies of a match with my friend who I am trying to teach how to play. If you have any questions just ask since the site can be a little confusing at first.

This looks awesome, I'll look into it later. Maybe we can get some games down Meian.

I don't know jack shit about these new COs either. I play so much Days of Ruin, all these super strong CO powers are gonna take getting used to again lol

Click Guides and click the one about the COs and it will list each one and their Day to Day (which always active), Co Power, and Super Co Power.

A few of them are broken (as in cheap) and can be banned by the room maker.

Try to make a game with a password. Have him click on the left side "Waiting (private)" and find your room name (ABC order btw).
