Skilling up during WS's

So way back in the day, SE nerfed leveling up weapon skills. You now have to do at least one damage to get a skill up. Now, before that time period, I used to get skill ups off almost every WS I ever did. After that nerf though, I seemed to never get any skill ups after a WS. Until tonight, I noticed I was getting skill ups during my WS's. My question is, did SE just nerf WS's giving points to all hell and back? Or am I just imagining things?

Let me try and make it clearer. During the skill up nerf back when, I swear SE ninja'd WS's not giving points. I remember going from then until now not seeing a single point off a WS ever, until tonight when I was leveling DRK.

Yeah, I was leveling axe for future WAR and farming purposes... and I remember getting .1 to .4s with rampage on lesser colibri. I love it.

I've always been able to get Skill ups off Weaponskills.

infact im skilling up Polearm, and i've gotten 2 0.4s During a Single Double Thrust. haven't noticed a nerf yet D:

I've been playing nearly 2 years and in that time have always been able to get skillups on WS; getting 1.3 skill levels on penta after several sync parties is cool

If you're referring to 0 damage WSes giving skill-ups, it works if the 0 was because of the mob having stoneskin.

If you're just talkin bout WSes giving skillups, that's always happened.

This, but only with penta thrust on my paladin when skilling it up for the possible loldrg in the future

You only gain skillups on physical damage weapon skills, and the hits have to do more than 0 damage.
