Anyone else excited for this? Looking forward to the recharts and masters of the song. TTFAF (YouTube - Guitar Hero : Smash Hits - Through The Fire and The Flames Guitar Chart) looks much harder.

not really no
No Six or Push Push (Lady Lightning)? supersadface
This is just another attempt to get money from us by Activision. This reeks of desperation more than Guitar Hero Rock the 80's did....but at least that one was fun and had songs I've never played before, regardless if it was put out just to please the fans as a teaser between GH2 and GH3. I'm not wasting $60 for this, to play songs I've already played.
smash hits pissed me off when they fucked up what they were going to put in for GH3 and Rock the 80's. Barracuda over Before I Forget? No Bang Your Head "Metal Health" What the god damn fuck were they thinking...
Just seems like they're milking the series with this one.
You think?
Here's a timeline (of when they were announced I'm assuming) of Rock Band (blue) and Guitar Hero (orange) titles, stolen from a Kotaku article:

(VH - Van Halen, GH - Greatest Hits, BH - Band Hero, Decades/Modern are the DS ones)
Activision: Quanity over Quality. Destroying brands since 1992
Even though they are pushing them out like crazy I'll sadly most likely get it.
Smash Hits imo should be like the DLC Track Packs & AC/DC for Rock Band. A stand-alone game, with an included voucher to transfer all the of the crap to your 'main' Guitar Hero game (which I guess would be World Tour as it stands), so you're not stuck having to disc-swap when you want to play particular songs from one of the discs.
Activision is aiming itself squarely at the 'birthday presents' market, they're painfully disinterested in responding to the demands of players who have long become accustomed to downloading their content over the internet, let alone allowing the prices for such content reflect the lowered cost of middlemanning shit like packaging, distribution and cover art.
I got the game, but I can't figure out the codes... they changed them, not the same as WT and Metallica.
The lack of Butthole Surfers is autofail. I wish these music games would die already. I loved them at first, but I really wish I could get rid of my GH:WT entire set somehow, preferably for credit at Gamestop, but I don't think they take it.
