    WWE

So there's no thread about this, and a search of "wwe" has 0 results. Seems everyone I know watches it, they're all 20+. The WWE forums themselves are awful, filled with 8-13 year olds that think it's real, and have signatures that break tables.

I am loving the new special guest host every week now on Raw. I just wish they would have actually had Shaq wrestle Big Show instead of just knock him down. Seth Green was pretty damn funny too, and Randy Orton and Chris Jericho are annoying as hell and need to be re-written.

I have heard a rumour that some of the fights are fixed. Is this true?

Yeah I stopped watching it myself, mostly because after years of watching it, it's too predictable to me most of the time and I have no one to discuss it with anymore.

Yeah, it's pretty predictable but I still find it to be entertaining, especially during TVs off season where new episodes of shows aren't coming out that I like.

Girlfriend and I are watching lastweeks Raw, ECW and Smackdown right now. In all three shows in the front row of the crowd is the same guy holding the same sign on all the shows, that's dedication. All 3 shows were in different locations DC, Maryland and North Carolina.

I watched WWE until The Rock left for movies. Loved that dude. I tried to keep up with it a bit afterwards, then they did the Smackdown/Raw superstar separation, and at that point, I haven't watched a single episode.

Pretty much this. Despite his entertaining moments cena just couldnt do what the rock did for me, make me laugh my ass off enough to call the 2 hours worth it.

I can't wait for this PG shit to end. Right now though they are trying to make new start cause all the current ones are getting old and at this present time i don't see a whole lot a potential....

Yeah I've been watching old matches and TV-14 rating was so much better.

Mankind vs. Undertaker Hell in a Cell match

They should have never changed ECW either. I used to watch it back in the mid 90s and it was brutal, now it's just meh. The announcer's on it are boring as hell too.

I think the Rock leaving and splitting Smackdown/Raw into 2 seperate shows with different rosters was the decline right there for me.

Would imagine they fill unsold seats in the front with staff members and such not integral to the show at the time of airing. Though, I wouldn't be all that surprised if there's some crazy fan with more money than sense.

Anyway, I watch Raw, but never really cared for Smackdown since its inception was more or less the recreation of WCW at the time and it seems to station hop every year. I never gave a crap about ECW since hearing Paul Heyman's voice way back was worse than nails on a chalkboard. Plus I don't get Sci-Fi, so it's not like I could even if I wanted to.

For now, Jericho and Orton are pretty lame as heels and the past few months basically being some circlejerk between them, Cena, and HHH hasn't been terribly exciting. I can't even get into the Diva matches since even if some look decent, their performance on moves is often lacking since it's obvious most are just washed up models or porn stars and not actual athletes. Then again, I'm probably one of the weird guys that doesn't mind seeing athletic chicks (Not Chyna or Glamazon level, mind you, but not scrawny shits).

Guest hosts have been somewhat refreshing compared to the crap of crooked/idiot GMs, but so far they either haven't done much or have been terribly predictable or even stereotyping in their match-ups (Shaq bringing in Cryme Tyme? Yes, let's pander to the hood demographic...). I also wanted to see him do more with Big Show, but I guess there was a ring of truth to him not doing too much to risk his NBA career since even if it's fake, there's still risk of injuries with bad falls and such.

I miss the days where I used to be able to get the PPV events for free. Shit's not worth $40+ if you're watching alone, but now and then I've bought an event if there was actually a match I was interested in seeing. Think it's been about 2 Wrestlemanias back since I have, though.

The Divas are awful looking. To be fair though, Stacy Keibler was the only good looking one I ever remember though. So that's nothing in my book that has ever changed.

I torrent the PPVs an hour or so after they air, no way I'd actually pay for them. Typically torrent the shows too just because not watching commercials, or having to fast forward through them on DVR is way more convenient.

Refreshing to know it wasn't just me.

I watched as a kid, back in the late 80s/early 90's and stopped watching for reasons I don't remember. I picked it back up again with the first episode of Smakdown and was awed by The Rock, who just epitomized cool to me.

Mankind retired, Stone Cold was come-and-go, and then The Rock went Hollywood, and Pro Wrestling just didn't hold my interest anymore. If I still had a TV, I'd probably watch it occasionally.

I'll never forget attending WWE(think they called it "The World" or some such) in Times Square and seeing Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock at Summerslam. SO fucking epic. Even more awesome was front-row seats at a Smackdown show in Atlantic City.

I stopped watching when the Rock left and HHH became the headliner. I never liked it afterwards.

I think everyone stopped watching after Stone Cold and The Rock left. Those two were great entertainers.

I watched it a bit during my early years of High School, only because one of my friends was really into it. He buys Wrestlemania tickets every year and we go as a tradition. So I always spend at least a month before trying to catch up so I enjoy it more.
