Summer is concert time around here...especially up north. Anyone have any big plans?
So far I am going to see:
Depeche Mode - Toronto
Tool - Toronto
Porcupine Tree - Cleveland and/or Toronto
How about you? Anyone going to Lolla?

I'm probably going to Lolla this year, very disappointed by the schedule (Jane's Addiction/The Killers headlining Sunday is pretty meh)... I really wish they could move it out of the city and have camping though =( to me that's half the fun.
Good choice of shows Norelco, you ever had a chance to see DM live before? I've seen Porcupine Tree 5-6 times, Tool 3.
EDIT: They just released the Lolla schedule - Sunday is really lame imo; might just buy single day passes for Friday/Saturday...

Saw Cinematic Titanic last weekend in Philadelphia (the original cast from MST3K) and Henry Rollins in Wilmington the week before that. Seeing Matt & Kim in Philadelphia in a few weeks and hoping to see Dan Deacon in Medford, NJ if I can ever figure out what the deal is for tickets. Then it's Los Campesinos! in New York City in August and the potential Blink 182/Weezer trainwreck towards the end of August.
Patton Oswalt is also coming in October and the Weakerthans in September. If I can afford them.
im gonna go to rascal flatts cuz i heard that shit is a hot pussy buffet
Spoiler: show
NY + Summer + FREE = love
There's also Boredom's Boadrum 9 for $25, but I'm still debating if it's worth it to see only 9 drummers instead of 99 at a meh venue
blink 182 in september
rly want to see conor oberst & the mystic valley band in concert again but the only show i could find (in nor cal) is at a 3 day festival in san fran. one day is 90 bucks. ffffffffffff
<3 DM, they are the best live... I'm a huge fan, own all of their albums and dvds and have shirts/posters/etc
PT is great live, their acoustics always sound fantastic, plus you usually get to see them in a smaller, more intimate venue.
I honestly wouldn't pay to see Tool anymore though. They play the big arenas and thus charge an arm and a leg for crappy seats, not to mention if you get general admission there's a bunch of retarded frat boys / Disturbed fans who act like morons the whole time, moshing during slow parts of songs and acting stupid.
ACDC August 29th, Vancouver.

Video games live.
Tori Amos in August. the new album is pretty lame but she's always a beast live, so that's ok.
missed PJ Harvey earlier in June, d'oh. oh well. not a big deal, I heard she's only performing material from her new album with John Parish.
other than that, not really doing anything this summer.
should be going to Fuji Rock, on the sunday. Best thing will probably be Animal Collective, which I am really looking forward to seeing.
I'll probably catch Tool when they come to Georgia July 27. Porcupine Tree needs to come farther south
I *was* going to catch Russian Circles while they were in town yesterday, but it was a 21+ venue and we're out of town so I couldn't catch the Memphis gig tonight. BRB moving north, the music scene here blows ass...
is anyone going to lollapalooza?????????????????????????????
Distant Worlds in Seattle @ July 11th![]()
July 16 - Going to see my baby in concert.
August 12 - Warped Tour
That's all I have tickets for right now.
hopefully I get to see Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band and Ted Leo this summer... But I'm also moving cross country so don't know if I can. ; ;
August - Def Leppard, Poison, and Cheap Trick
Going to this with my fiancee's parents....
Free Trip + Free Ticket + Free Beer = <3
