Aion Headstart "changes"

For those who didn't saw on the preorder site.

We will not get items on the headstart like they announced, we should get them around the 22 only

Kinda figured it would work out this way, as you need the code from the box to get your CE/preorder items (code determines what store you bought from for the ring ect).


The only item I'd want for day 1 of the headstart is the exp ring, I'll be 30 (or close to it) by the time i get my hands on the box. Say what you want, but I'm a SM: iGrind.

I've never pre-ordered MMOs before, so I don't know if I'm missing something about this headstart. I understand that with the pre-order, you get beta codes and such, but the actual live-account registration codes come in the box, don't they? Don't you need those for headstart? Or do you do headstart with a different code, and then keep those characters when you get the live-accoune codes?

EDIT: My question is that if we don't get our boxes until 21st or 22nd, what good is the headstart to us?

You get access to head-start with the pre-order codes. The normal beta codes that were handed out for free around won't work though I think.

When you preordered, you should've been given a serial code. This is both considered your preorder code and beta code. While like Gokulo said, if you just got a beta code from whatever source, fileplanet, it's now totally irrelevant.

If I understand it right, the code from preordering will let you create your char 2 days before the headstart and then headstart 2 days before the game's released. Once you get your box or live-game code online, then you'll have to enter that code into your account to continue playing/paying with your headstart char.

If you ordered from NC or Steam, you don't get a physical box. Preorder code = retail code.

Generally those bonus items are tied to the account, not the character.
