Discussion can go here. When the fuck does this actually go out? Most websites say the 28th, but Gamestop just called and said it's coming in tomorrow. Their own website says ships the 27th.

I thought ship date = street date - 1 in GamestopMath. I could be thinking Best Buy, though.

Any good match vids out yet? I want to see how good people are at this game. I never did trust the KoF series for competitive play after 2k.

Gamestop in my area is apparently getting it tomorrow. I had it preordered but after consideration decided to scratch it after seeing the few early reviews and especially the ingame footage during Devastation. Gameplay on a whole just looks incredibly dated, and the graphics even moreso in the wake of Blazblue and SFIV.

I'm picking this up for the purpose of nostalgia (and maybe a chance to play some KORs/JPNs/TWNs/HKs in it) since I've been a big fan of KoF since 94. That and the system is different from the other KoFs.

The animation lacks stretch and squash (two of the primary basic fundamentals of traditional animation), which at that level of frames, is direly needed to prevent it looking so stiff and jerky at the video demonstrates.

Funny enough, the YouTube quality makes it look like they were just badly pre-rendered 3d models, rather than traditionally done drawings....

It doesn't look HORRIBLE but really I don't see myself playing it outside of an arcade setting. There's just not much meat on them bones to justify the console purchase and I'd never put it into my console with BlazeBlue and SF4 at arm's reach.

I thought the exact same thing when I watched that video. Thats the first time I'd seen anything from this game. I like the KOF characters but i'd much rather play CVS2 or Garou than kof.

This. I first played KOF94 at a movie theater when I was younger, and I was hooked.

I just wish NGBC would release on XBLA like they said it would 4 years ago...I would love to play Mudman again. I wish they would make a new World Heroes, lol.

what he meant was that South America loooooooooooooves KoF games, and it's true. When I used to go to peru a few years back, KoF was the biggest thing. Everyone ignored MvC2 and other capcom fighters during its time.

This game was fun for the first week, then you learn the 60%+ critical counter combos and you go fuck it

Did no one here watch Devastation and listen to the Mexican dude during the KoF videos? He was going crazy about it, and the chat room was HILARIOUS lol.

If you go to your average North American arcade and you have MvC2 / 3S/ SF4/ BB / GGXX / Any SNK/KOF game....

Every Mexican in the joint is on the SVC Chaos / KoF machine.... no matter what coast of the country you are on. It is in their DNA !lol

They ALL play Iori or w/e his name is too! LOLOL They get so angry when I jump on SVC Chaos and blast them with AHVB Akuma tactics lol


It is hilarious, as soon as one enters the arcade, everyone yells, "Moses, go play Akuma and get him out of our arcade!"

Weltall's on the ball when he said about spanish speakers and this game when it comes to North-American arcades. Totally popular in South America, but for me I want to see the Asians in this game because it's also huge in Asia. Besides I've been a big fan of KoF to ignore this (I'm filipino, so I fall in line with the Asian category).
