Long shot here but sun's forums are deathly silent and the net at large isn't helping...
Trying to install Java 6 update 15 (and 16 now) at work, it isn't working on any of our vista PCs. Update 13 had no issues, but now when trying to install 15/16 I get an error "Invalid digital signature in <blah blah path>\data1.cab; this may indicate the file is corrupt"
Googlefu only seems to offer up two suggestions: add the certificates on the installer file to the trusted authority CA repository, and/or attempt to install it with a brand new user account. The former doesn't work and the latter is irrelevant because we have to be able to install it remotely using the builtin\TrustedInstaller console session.
If anybody has seen a similar thing and can give me something to try I'd appreciate it. Really irritating.
