FFXI Graphic Settings + Confusion

Hello, first off I recently downloaded FFXI on my new pc and forgot what settings I had on my other one which I do not have access for a long while. The graphics look fine other than I think the characters look squished and short. Here are the settings I picked in the FFXI config as well as the other options to fix this I hope.

Enable MIP Mapping: ON - can be off

Gamma Base: 0.0 - ranges from -1 to +1

Overlay Graphics Resolution: 1920x1080 (correct to the size of my monitor)

Background Resolution: 1024x1024 - can be 256x256 or 512x512

Texture Compression: High - can be low or uncompressed

On-Screen Maps: Uncompressed - can be compressed

Enable Bump Mapping: ON - can be checked off

Environmental Animation: Smooth - can be normal or off

Another issue I've noticed is while fishing it feels like I'm in slow motion when not lagged at all. This will be nice fishing harder fish, but it's a little irritating on easy skill up fish.

My last issue is not FFXI related, but is a problem with the connection between my pc and the printer. My printer is an HP PSC 1510 so I went to control panel > Printer > Add a printer > and found the HP PSC 1500 series. I had this set, and had it run a test copy to see if it worked, which it did not.

If anyone can help on either section I'd appreciate it, or if I missed any information let me know, thanks.

While in game, change your aspect ratio to 16:9 in the settings

I've got a feeling that my HP printer is not compatible with vista, did some looking around and seems to be not a common bonus to the HP. Even asked the person helping me out if my printer would work, oh well :/ Any recommendations for a new printer? The Epson Stylus NX100 all in one seemed to have good reviews for $70.

As for the fishing question I'll probly throw that in the fishing thread, see if anyone has an idea; some purposely slow the computer to make it easier for ebisu fish.
