[Ragnarok -> Asura] Snaps, taru mandau, (bc)

This guy talked to me today about wanting to join our LS. Says he's been on Asura for 1month, and is currently in a small JP shell. Says he hails from Ragnarok, from a JP endgame shell called Gyuunyun.

I'm intrigued by the guy because (1) he's a mandau Thf almost as well geared as myself and, (2) says he's another gai-jin American living in Japan.

When I mentioned a BG background check, he said that it could be that nothing would turn up, since he says he's been in JP shells through most/all of his gaming.

I understand that. In ways the JP and NA communities can be fairly separate. So far I haven't found anyone on Rag' that knows him. Wondering if this looks familiar to anyone from that server, or elsewhere perhaps? It should be fairly easy to notice an almost perfectly geared taru Mandau thf eventaully.

Lastly, I don't know what his original name might have been on Ragnarok I'll have to ask him when I see him again, lame of me for forgetting to do so.

On topic: Only taru I've ever seen with that much HQ hecatomb is the taru on Valefor who had like -34092349xd32-4903432xd032094-325423 angelskins. Cannot remember his name though. :/ He was THF-only, from what I remember.\

I don't recognize that name or that model/gear from Ragnarok, and I've been on this server for more than 5 years...someone like that would usually stand out, or maybe I missed him.

Very little Mandaus on our server. The JP shell thing is almost never legit, but that should be common sense. No one with that name plays an account like that on Ragnarok and if he ever did, he would stand out way too much to not be recognized. JP shell or not.
Edit: I'd wait for a name to see if anything comes up.

I've never seen anyone looking anything like that. I'm in England so I probably see more JP players online than a lot of american players and I don't recall anyone looking like that.

I know it's far from exhaustive list but no one on ragnarok for ffxiah's mandau page matches his description/circumstances and if he can speak english etc you think he might well have registered there.

I've been looking to buy a Mars's Ring myself, but I've had real bad luck with sellers, like they don't check PM's and sell it for cheaper than I would have paid, they get banned, or they accept real money. But no that is a flame ring. Every time I see a well-geared person w/ one on my heart stops for a second and I go to check if it's Mars', but it never is. I didn't have time to ask him questions like "why the flame ring?", "why the denali bonnet?" I was just stunned to see another gai-jin with gear like mine. For the record, he is essentially doing it right when it comes to his sets. The majority of mandau thieves are shitty and don't have good non-mercy ws sets, evasion sets, and the like. This guy has decently made swaps, which is rare for an account-buyer.

Possibly sounds like the valefor dude.

PM me if you can. Any sort of reference helps greatly. And an actual past that isn't a lie is always good. I wouldn't blackball him completely yet. For example I'm sympathetic to people who have been banned over retarded plays on SE's part (salvage duping, chargebacks, gardening) and wanted to continue playing. The strong part of his app isn't just his mandau and gear. Now that I know it's not his originally I can't trust he's good at thf. But my LS is in strong need of JP:EN bilinguals who are active in the game and use vent. Maybe if I can hear his JP on vent it would convince me. And he has variety/mage jobs. Clean past is certainly a co-req, though.

Indeed, my opinion of the guy (even if it's of no consequence) is influenced more by the fact he lied and TPs with denali bonnet and flame ring

I figured as much from some of your other posts, and joining king camping shells(no offence lunies) will do that to you. I can honestly guess that there's maybe 1 or 2 non-botting shells across all servers that actively camp kings, and once you accept botting there isn't really much more.
