They announced last week there will be a demo releasing next month for both plantforms, no date announced yet. The demo will be the entire first level of the game and will feature a fight against death himself.

The only point I want to get across with this is this IP has its own identity due to its setting and the art of the game should hold its own merit.

I guess its natural for people to compare games like this to GOW and DMC or NG because well they set the action game standard, but judging by the artistic style and this studios success i expect a great game. Even if it is a "clone" or what have you all I want is a good lengthy game with a compelling story and a fantastic combat system.

Dead Space did what RE couldn't do - scare me shitless. I washed many pairs of underwear playing DS.

Game looks good, and the story looks interesting. I know story isn't something that's important in an action game, but it's nice to have a good one like in GoW. Despite how I feel about GoW (poor man's DMC) the thing I loved was the character's and story - not hard to beat DMC in that respect though.

Pretty much (though I can't tell how serious you are).

All I really meant was that I vastly preferred the combat in DMC, GoW didn't feel as good to me though it felt like it was trying. Maybe not necessarily to be DMC, but my view on it was as such because I fucking love DMC.

Don't get me wrong, I really like GoW (2, not so much 1) but I fucking love DMC.

EA's hoping that the 360 owners among you will start a brand new, equally-sentimental tradition as it releases a demo of Dante's Inferno for XBLM on Dec. 24. The sample includes the entire first level of Dante's demonic journey into hell and goes great with eggnog.

Those preferring PSN will get the demo on Dec. 10, a date which has the dual benefit of (1) being two weeks earlier and (2) not making the baby Jesus cry.
