Should have been Castlevania.
I'm mostly just waiting for Resident Evil 4, I've always heard that is an amazing game but never got around to playing it. As with their other marathons, I kind of just leave it open in another tab, and check it periodically.
Rust's wearing a suit!
Wow I should have totally told you guys about this, sorry.
Anyway how are you guy enjoying it so far? If you don't know I'm localretard in the chat and also the web designer/admin over at thespeedgamers.com
I like the official Capcom support, the blooper reel was a nice touch also.
Yes we've considered themes, however those are much much harder to plan for and to explain to people, also if/when we generalize we lose the option of exclusive brand support (Capcom). That's not to say it's not possible because I'm very sure we will be doing one sometime but we just need to think of the right approach.
:3
This is great.
they need to do more with Vegemitethat was epic in the FF marathon
Thanks for posting this, keep missing their marathons because I forget about em
Local, what process do you guys use to decide which organizations to arrange donations for?
I'm on the board of directors for a non-profit, and well we're certainly not fighting aids or the diabetus, we represent a cause I think gamers in particular would be interested in.
Just lemme know if it's ok to contact you about it.
If we can we try to associate a theme with the charity. Halloween/Candy/Diabetes or Mother's Day/Mother Series/Susan G Komen.
If we can't do that we try to choose a charity that encompasses a major illness or disease, something everyone has been effected by in one way or another. We try to stray away from charities such as Child's Play and the like because many people see less importance in their mission and thus will cause controversy and lose possible donors. We strive to gain donations from the biggest possible sample as we can without excluding anyone...I hope you can respect that
We at TSG certainly do not isolate ourselves to only big charities but some qualifications we do look for (but may optional) aside from the above is:
- Good BBB (Better Business Bureau) standing
- Good ratings from charity searching sites (Charity Navigator...etc)
- Good ratings from past donors
- Organization standpoint (Non-profit only).
- Charity owned paypal which we can link to via chipin (No after the fact money trading). This cuts down on fees and allows the charity to get the maximum amount of donations possible.
Also if we find that a charity has a unsatisfactory percentage of donations going towards their mission, we usually don't choose them.
If you want to talk to us about your charity please contact Britt (The founder)
I totally missed most of this marathon.I was on a little while ago and caught the last 10 minutes when Rob played off the stream with Keyboard Cat, what an epic way to finish your show.
Kudos to TSG, you guys are the best. I hope I can watch most of the Pokemon marathon in Dec. since I'm sure rusted will be commentating a lot. I fucking love rusty.
Wonderful marathon, as usual, and made your goal once again. Keep up the good work!
And yes, Rust is hilarious. >.>
"Final donation Total is $8205.89, good job everyone. These donations just mightfind a cure for diabetes."
I think they finished.
