This is mostly a placeholder so people don't forget, but we will need some enmity testing. As you all know Enmity and healing is a bit unstable at some time.
So if anyone has some interesting testing please post it here
(p.s light the Kaeko beacon!)

I have no idea how this shit works in aion. I know that after a new nasty crits i take hate... the issue is, i KEEP it until i die or use that forgotten Sin ability to lower my enmity. Shit is scary and needs to be figured.
Weird I very rarely seem to pull hate unless it's the beginning of a fight and I crit SA.. and even when I do the Temp's usually able to pull it back quickly.
Usually when I do get hate I've been popping Focused Evasion to get an evade, do either Whirlwind Slash or Counterattack and combo it with SA. After that if I still have hate I'll just drop stuns until the tank manages to pull it back.
Something I've noticed is that initial aggro actually gives hate to said player, harder to voke mobs off a random person who aggro'd them than one I'd just pull myself.
Or I just suck.
I notice that too, there is a little boost for initial aggro, besides that I don't lose hate unless my DPS out level me by a lot. Usually my hate can suffer if I'm provoking a cc'd mob and tanking another also. But I only started noticing this when DPS are higher level than me.
I don't know about initial hate since i refuse to get a bow because i simply don't like pulling. But I guess due to my "don't hold back, fuck my tanks" attitude from being a dd on ffxi, I don't hold back here either, and I've gotten to know the soul healers intimately.
But I HAVE seen a piece of gear for temps that had enmity +2, so I guess they know about our concerns. I wanna see where this goes in the future (Noobta actually linked the armor in question)
concurring with the initial aggro/attacking thing. I was doing a little questing with a templar, I shot something first and it ran towards me, next mob I let him hit it first and it stayed on him for the remainder of the fight. It wasnt a long fight but after 10 or 11 mobs I simply waited till his first poke then I could fire away.
I'll do some FT groups today, maybe even get a cheap ass bow to see how enmity works. Assassin is the perfect job to test it with, afterall. Gogo enmity-erasing ability.
I know certain mobs seem to have aggro dumps, such as the raiders in Mistmane Village. When they use their "Wide Stun" ability it will wipe their aggro on the tank causing them to rush someone else and use Mortal Blow, usually 1 shotting them.
Reminds me a lot of the FFXI hate system. Initial aggro/hate is huge, as is curing hate. Losing hate on a single mob is very difficult but once you do, it seems very difficult to get it right back. I've also had some really bad clerics that have obviously never played FFXI, as they like to spam AOE healing constantly and pull hate.
I've heard of several people mentioning it, there being some form of modifier for initial pulls, but i was wondering how skills such as Provoking Slash and Provoking Shield Blow work, if they add enmity modifiers for a short period of time or a fixed enmity boost. I've not had much of a chance as of yet to look into it myself, maybe some of you have an idea how it works.
Another issue that seemed to crop up on AS is the use of Rage on the initial skill chain, solo it may be slightly useful, but i dont see it being of any use to me (as a templar) at any time otherwise, i think i'd get far more out of finishing the L3 Chain with a crit build than X ammount of healing enmity that it might possibly generate.
Does anyone know if there is hate loss from taking damage, or even if you can lose hate naturally w/o the use of abilities?
CC is a shitload of Enmity, sleep in general. Damage is also another huge part in enmity which is why I feel it is better to tank as a Critlar for the extra DPS since you'll be sitting at 5k HP with buffs(at my level, 28 that is) anyways and should have decent block at all times if you keep up with your Shield.
And I do not think there is a hate loss system for taking damage from the mob, I can easily tank 3-4 mobs with Prvoking Roar while tabbing through them spamming my taunt tools like Inescapable Judgment, Taunting Server Blow and Taunt, as well as the shield enmity skill.
Stoneskin will absorb the damage but not the condition, so you still get stunned/Knocked Down. I think the whole use of rage over L2/L3 was that it allegedly adds threat to all targets, but again i feel the better use of a provoke tool would be more useful. i run a critlar build as well so its very likely that ill crit on those skills, besides the 300+ damage from each skill is far more important to let you DDs go balls out on your current target.
Sleep is very annoying as a CC because of the massive enmity it gives a sorc, and apprently looting a mob gives enmity too (this is most possibly the biggest load of horse i've heard yet).
We had a cleric raising a dead guy near an enemy guard getting the guard's attention after the spell completed. She was fine and well out of range until then. :/a
I've noticed that when pulling mage/healer mobs, the tank will get the mob off of me then 10-15 sec later it'll target me for its magic missile/divine orb shit every. single. time. regardless of whether I've been DDing or standing still or anything.
