Assassin's Creed I Save Data (Steam Install)

Can anyone tell me where the save data is stored for the original Assassin's Creed, when installed by Steam? I'm trying to transfer my save data to my Win7 install from my Vista install, but I've had no luck thus far.

what version of Windows were you on previously?

i haven't played the PC version but it'll probably be at:
XP: \Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Application Data\Ubisoft
Vista: buried under \Users\<user_name>\

I've tried both of those, unfortunately. No dice. I've gone as far as copying over the entire steamapps/assassin's creed folder in hopes that some hidden save-files would be included. The only Ubisoft or Assassin's Creed folder I've found outside of the steamapps folder was a single .ini file... Wish I could figure it out.

Try checking in the users folder in win7/vista, or the documents and settings on xp (I believe), has some hidden folders in there related to steam/applications if I recall correctly. Other than that I don't really know where it stores it. Perhaps in app data, or something along those lines.
