Making an LS website

I need some ideas, starting a dynamis ls and need to make a site. I don't really want to put TOO much work into this so not like a personal hosted site with custom stuff (I don't really know html or web authoring well). I want something easy, I'll probably be using something manual like excel to keep track of attendance and drops, unless anyone has any ideas. I'm thinking of just using some sort of generic blog or forum site like guildportals, but I don't want it to be laughable >.> (i'll probably end up using livejournal if no ideas)

Forumls are quick and easy and available on most free sites. For a dynamis shell its even better as you only need like 3-4 categories (Apps n Rules, Schedule, Officer Discussion, and possibly a general discussion)

Ask around and see if anyone has any PHP experience in your LS (or friends or family) - this is especially good for Dynamis LSes with points systems and the like since that sort of data is suited to databases.

I usually just went with a wordpress blog as a CMS and phpbb as a forum. The blog was used for a front page for updates and etc.. The forum was used for discussion and stickied topics to keep track of points and stuff.

I know some people that used Google Docs with public read levels for the spreadsheets. If you don't wanna put too much effort into it, I would recommend Google Docs.

Obligatory "I'll do it for money" post. But yea, drupal/wordpress/joomla for front page and phpbb or vb for the forums. Ain't hard. If you want something custom though, software or a website, lemme know.

Mm yeah, I've used google docs for attendance before so it's public but didn't think about having access levels for others to edit since I did it all myself anyways. Good idea though!
