For those who care, Blackberry or iPhone?

As the title says, which one do you think is better? Personally, i think the mobile phone industry is down to these two phones now, nothing else seems to be up to their standered, except a handful of phones such as the HTC Hero.

I bet alot of you have used both of these, even for a quick scroll through to see what its like. So which one is the superior?

    Business > BB

    Personal use > iPhone

New Bold 9700 was out 2-3 months ago with new trackpad instead of the old 9000 ball.
If you type a lot of emails and have a lot of other friends on blackberry messenger, get Bold 9700.
Not to mention, battery lasts a whole load longer than iPhone. Twice at least.

If you want more fun / apps, go for iPhone, it's easy to use. Although iPhone have MAPS, it does not have turn to turn like Tomtom unless you buy the app like Co-pilot or Tomtom which is £50.

I use both best of both worlds.

If your company has a bes, get a blackberry. If you hate not having a full qwerty keyboard, get a blackberry. Otherwise, get an iphone.

I love my storm, though a storm 2 would be nice.

iPhone is for those who don't know any better

(I'm very fond of my HTC Touch Pro 2 [has keyboard], but a bit ambivalent about the WM under the Sense shell)

    Yet.

Of course you could wait a month~ maybe two and get it on Verizon

I'm a sprint man myself, can't give up free tethering, and 4g in the near future.

    Not in the UK.

It costs £10 a month for 3GB Tethering Bolt Ons on my network, O2.
    £30 a month for 10GB.

If you wan't to get tagged an additional fee on your bill when they see your "abnormal" usage. They can pretty much tell when you use a lot of bandwidth in a short period of time you are doing something you shouldn't. Brother actually got hit with "tethering" additional fee by AT&T. Something like they charged him an extra $40~$60 for an additional service? or something. Ended up getting disputed, not to say it can't happen. Sprint gives you a 5gig limit, and doesn't care how you use it.

i have a BB world edition (8300) picked it up last october (2008) for a cool 300$ contract for 3 years on telus.

it is beast when it comes to starting it up but i never turn it off so i dont have that problem. what you can do to avoid that tho is set it to auto on/off so u never even have to worry about the booting as it will do it when you are sleeping

built in msn, can addon AIM, can do any email account, can do vpn, can do jabber. can handle any attachment type that i have had to use, docx, xlsx, pdf. use it for biz around the world as i travel a bit, or did last year when i got it anyway. GSM and EV transmitter modes and can use both at the same time although that will cause it to be a battery hog.

no complaints about my shit although i haven't used the bold or storm so i can't really comment on either of those.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330, I love it. It does freeze up sometimes but it's also old as dirt now. The only problem I had with it was the memory flash card was put in wrong and I couldn't use my phone (VZW pig installed it). I've also have gone through 3 trackballs, but it's a easy fix.

If you do get a Blueberry you can always just buy a iPod touch and use the wifi, it's basically the same thing.

I remember when Blackberry just did e mails, and only the fat cats had them.

I know 2 people who tether their home PCs and don't use regular internet service, just the iphone's 3G. They've never been hit with any additional fees as far as I know. I guess it's hit and miss if they catch you. I think Archibald does it as well.

My last phone was a Blackberry 8800. I loved that phone, but an iPhone it isn't. Two completely different phones.

I have BB (world) because work makes me have one. Good for emails. Ok for browsing, shit for anything else. I don't think it even has a camera.

If I were just going for personal use I'd have gotten the iPhone by now, but today I'd wait and see what the new google thing is like, or at least wait till the summer and see what they do with AT&T.

A lot of companies will not allow camera's inside their facilities. My 8800 didn't have a camera.
