    computer help

    I dl'd dragon age origins and got it working fine. I had to make a virtual drive and mount the iso and all that stuff. Is the game still playable if the virtual drive is removed? If I delete the original torrent, which has the iso, is the game still playable? I want to clear up space and delete the torrent but don't want to screw it up.

    It is plugged in and turned on. Not trollan. I just don't know if the iso and virtual drive play an active roll in the making the game work when I play or is all that stuff just to get the game to install correctly.

    Did you install the no CD crack that probably came with it?
    You can probably delete it if you did. If you aren't sure then it's best not to.

    The .iso is basically the game image, yes you need to keep it. The virtual drive is what you need to mount the image to play the game. Basically, the .iso is the fake DVD and the virtual drive is the fake DVD drive. You need to keep both if you plan on playing the game.

    You can delete the .rars the game came in (if it came in .rars) though, you only need the iso.

    And this ^, if its installed and you have a noCD crack, you can delete the .iso

    Unmount the ISO from the virtual drive and try to play it. If it asks for the CD you need to keep the ISO mounted to play. If it works then you can delete it.

    It apparently unmounted all by itself when I checked so I guess that would have worked.

    Another question. I dl'd an addon pack with some DLC in it for the game and apparently 2 of the addons in the pack need to be activated. I need to replicate what the activation code would do since they don't come with a code (the shale DLC and another one), someone on the torrent said I had to edit some content in an xml file but I don't know what kind of program is best to open xml and change a value from 2 to 1 and then be able to save that so the game thinks I entered a code.
