do people play with real legos anymore?
Ya lego these days is expensive, but if i could still play with it i would, if this game turns out to be as creative as i hope and not just predetermined builds handed to you, im going to be a very happy man!
I could build the most awesome space stations or ships if I had an unlimited supply of Legos. Space Legos ftw. I have a fat collection from when I was a kid, but holy shit buying new stuff today is pricy.
Oh, and the game looks cute
Dude. If I hadn't left my Legos at my parents house when I moved out, you can bet your sweet ass I'd pull my two cases of them out once every two weeks or so.
I wasted so much time as a kid playing with them.
My little brother loves playing with my old legos. My mom stopped buying him new ones because of how expensive/uncreative/preassembled they all are. Also, cause I had like a 3'x4'x'2' bin filled to the brim of them... But he's been having a blast building robots using mindstorm and other fun stuff.
Legos went downhill when they invented too many pieces that couldn't be used for anything other than what they were made for.
Also, fucking bionicles, or whatever that bullshit is.
I loved Bionicles. Fucking haters.
the old space police/ice planet/blacktron and other various sci-fi sets from teh 90s were fucking incredible, I think I even had the monorail at one point as well.
I still have a kickass little spaceship I made my self in my bedroom, it's the only thing left from the MASSIVE collection I've since given away.
Something about playing with legos on a computer/online loses a lot of the actual appearl of building with your hands.
Preassembled? My childhood, it weeps. I was just thinking there should be like a huge lego sandbox/mmo type game on the shitter earlier today cuz I've been wanting to play with some legos (gave mine away to nephew and neighbor some years ago). And yes, the fuckers are expensive, otherwise I'd probably still be buying them, but goddam I'd just leave em out everywhere and it was a mess, my entire floor would just be legos, minus a path or two through them.
Edited reply to above post: I was craving some lego action specifically for the ice planet set, wanted some to take outside and play with like I did as a kidThis thread now makes me sad, but in a good way.
this btw was the greatest shit of all time

I have that one sitting half-disassembled on my shelf somewhere, along with a bunch of other stuff from that era. Nothing beats the old Magnetron, Space Police, Ice Planet, Blacktron, Pirates, whatever they called their city line, that medieval setting I forget the name of (Dragonmaster, Wolf Pack, that one), and whatever else I'm forgetting.
New Space Police sucks, but they're apparently making a TIE Defender for the Star Wars line, which makes up for it.
